A shopping excursion gone arwy...
Lyta had had a couple of busy couple of days. And the perfect cure to busy days- retail therapy. She'd talked to Irina the other night, and the two of them had made plans to go Paris for some well deserved shopping.

Lyta put her wings in her harness and got dressed, in a red blouse and a pair of jeans. She put on her sunglasses and grabbed her purse, credit cards ready to go. She went to Irina's room and knocked on the door.

One by one she picked up four knives off of the bed and tucked them away on various parts of her body. "I am now," she smiled.

About an hour later Irina and Lyta came out of the cafe. They had gathered some very basic information on the world.

"What would you like it do?" Irina asked as there was a commotion in the air above them.

"That doesn't look good," Irina said as supers flew overhead.

The commotion caught Lyta's attention.

"No" she said, "It doesn't."

"Maybe, we should go check it out?"

They walked a block or two to find Doom along with doombots and some supporters battling the Avengers. The Avenger A on the shoulders of some of them gave it away.

"I hate to say this, but we should probably help. Doom is not good news."

With a faint *pop*, the Devil Spider teleports from where he was assaulting a Doombot to behind Irina.

"That's an impressive power you have there. Looks like you didn't need that rescue. Can I ask who you are, and what you've got against Doom?"

Once he'd given instructions for the accomodations of the two women, Kristoff went to his and Calypso's suite. He knelt beside her chair, and took her hand to kiss again.
"They are clearly from an entirely different facet of reality, Beloved."

She gently pulled his hand to pull him up to favor him with a kiss on his lips. She smiled and offered him a seat next to her. "Most interesting, my Beloved." Her hand held on to his. "Are we sure they are not faking it and sent as spies by your father?"

Calypso was concerned at the appearance of strangers. Either ones from this world or from another. She had worked very hard and very long to get where she was now. She didn't need anyone ruining her plans.

"The right training and abilities can fool an interrogator or even, occasionally, a telepath, Love, but not a Cellular Frequency Test. The results just finished processing."

"Do you believe their story that them showing up here was an accident?" Calypso asked. She liked hearing his insights on things. Kristoff had a sharp mind. She loved that about him.

Their initial attempt at dissimulation, though well-delivered, was sloppy; they did not have their information straight. They are otherwise too professional to have been merely careless if this was a planned operation. It must, therefore, really have been a matter of happenstance."

During her time in her cell Irina had managed to pop a panel off of the wall near the door and start fiddling with the wires and circuitry. With any luck she would be able to cause a short circuit and they could get out of here.

She took a deep breath and touched two exposed wires together.

The door slid open and Irina sighed with relief. She hurried out of the cell and went to release Lyta from hers. Then they could get far enough away from the dampening fields to allow Irina to open a portal to get out of here.

"Come on," she said when she was free, "Let's get out of here and go home."
