Breaking News- Windy City Blows ....... Up!
Cain had been planning this for months. The Chicago art museum had in it's possession some artifacts that they knew little of worth of having only exhibited them once before placing them in storage. These artifacts had come from Enoch the scared city that Cain had founded and he would not let them rot in some museum backroom like that. Especially when they might hold the clues to him finding the city at long last.

He had dispatched Brother Phlegethon to Chicago with some of his best stealth teams to take care of all of this.

Soon after arriving in the city and casing the museum the city was rocked by a series of explosions set up of Phlegethon. It would be all over the news in no time. But the figured they could get in and out without any trouble.

Nick had been tracking Intergang activity towards Chicago for sometime now. He knew that they were after something in the city be he had not been able to figure out what yet when the explosions rocked the city.

That had certainly been unexpected but then again from what he knew of Cain he was unstable at the best of times so guessing the mind of a maniac was probably not a good idea. Still after rapidly looking over all the sites of explosions he guessed that the museum was probably the most likely target for them to be going after and the rest was probably some sort of diversion.

With that in mind he headed over there in costume as fast as he could.

Harry blinks a little at the green band that automatically gets absorbed, he hadn't expected it. But the energy boost is welcome and he shoots Jess a shy thankful smile. He was never too comfortable asking for a boost.

Nodding, he takes Heather's direction and disappears in a flash to start teleporting people out and speed up the evacuation. Good thing he didn't see any bad guys around, it made things easier and he wasn't nearly as nervous this way.

	While that was going on Nick sneak into the Art Museum to check out the security center to see what was still operational after the explosion and see if he could get a clearer picture of what was going on. While they had some member of the Intergang team watching the perimeter and check out the rest of the museum most of them were in the enormous backrooms and holding areas for the many pieces of out that they did not keep on display and were holding there.

Brother Phlegethon was in the back there organizing the search sort of dressed up in his frayed former monk robes. All of this fire and burning had him in a rather good mood which had the member of his team around him more than a little scared. But so far they had made no really progress finding the pottery.

In a random teleport Harry ends up in one of the backrooms and catches a glimpse of the robed man and his crew, who were clearly the bad guys around here.

Just as quickly as he came, Harry teleports back out to tell the others about what he found. "Bad guys, one in some monk robes, are in the back and...I'm not sure what they're doing but..." Yeah, he was so out of his depth here.

	Nick finds the Intergang guys on the security system having not find any of the guards in there. Clearly they were busy with things elsewhere. The damage to the system was not good but he was able to set up a few tricks from there that might help out before he left. 	"Wannabe" by the Spice Girls starts blaring over the remains of the intercom system as Nick takes out one of the Intergang guys with a quick series of rapid strikes from surprise. He always found Pop music to make for such a great distraction. He had not noticed the New Guardians were there before but figured a little uncounted upon help couldn't hurt. The attacks take the Intergang goon by surprise the New Guardians knocking out several of them fast and hurting even more of them. The Music playing suddenly only added to the confusion

"Get the artifact now," Phlegethon says flames appearing on him loudly over the music, "And don't disappoint me. I'll deal with them." He sent several blasts of flames towards Heather and Jess.

Most of Intergang had yet to notice Nick there yet. Though the few that had made there way over to attack him.

The crystalization of his hands stopped Phlegethon from sending out blasts of fire for a while while he worked to free his hands with his powers.

The other members of Intergang where having trouble dealing with the two New Guardians they were facing and losing ground and men slowly but steadily.

The fight against Nick though was going much more evenly having landed more than a few good blows on him.

A few of the outlying Intergang member had noticed Lenny and Harry and came over to confront them.
