[Since this is AU anyway, I rolled one for him. 2,1. Instead of Dr. Strange picking him up, SHIELD did. After locking him up for a bit and calling in SWORD to help find a way to reign in his powers in a more consistent way than the mystics had managed so far, they managed to get him gauntlets of sort that siphoned off the extra magic he was leaking and putting it to use to power their magic weapons creation and experiments, though they are somewhat painful. While he'd been lent out to SWORD and ARMOR at times, they realized he needed more field experience and pulled a few strings to get him a spot on the TBolts and at the same time keep an eye on the team.

Changes: no age wonkiness, about the same age, maybe a year or two older for timebendyness. Eyes constantly glow No time freeze or magic disc spells. Still has teleportation. Instead was taught to focus on interdimensional travel, stronger telepathy and TK. Uses mystic bolts and levitation instead of magic discs.]

Martin floats into the room and tilts his head at Dante, watching him. "You people spend a lot of time doing that..."

	"Afternoon. It's just that everytime I see a gun person they always seem to be cleaning it," he shrugs and sits nearby Dante, levitating cross legged in the air. 	Many found the glowing blue eyes disconcerting and hard to read, but Dante never seemed to see it that way. It was nice but meant it was harder to hide things from him. "It is, I like it when we get to go out." He didn't like being holed up anywhere much but it happened often. "Will I be needed? And might it lead to anything interesting?" 	The tiniest of smiles remains on his face. It was always nice being asked. "I think the books can handle one evening without me. You may have to check to be sure," he says with an attempt at a joke. Telepathic bright kid vs. Experienced strategist who could read you like a book tended to end up that way but he liked the challenge and it was always a learning experience. 	"Nb8-c6," he responds. With the way his eyes glow it's not quite possible to tell, but his gaze moves from the chessboard to Dante. The problem with trying to read his mind during chess was that he expected it and had experience with telepaths. Enough to know how to feed you false leads or distract, but it was worth a shot. 	There's a slight frown of concentration now as he tries to push past the crazy hall of mirrors and find other thoughts. He may be a good telepath, but Dante had plenty of experience shielding. 	Dante's pieces move accordingly on their own. "They're not my buddies." He knew his place in the organization, and while he didn't like it, it was to be expected. His powers were a danger to society as he'd both been told and shown, so he felt he deserved what he got his way. Didn't mean he enjoyed it in the least, just accepted the facts. "Probably on purpose," Martin muses. He stops and raises his eyes to meet Dante's, not quite expecting that last bit. Opening his mouth to say something, he thinks better of it and clamps it shut again and looks down. It was hard to tell if this was a situation that warranted a grateful thank you or a worried look. "...I don't know if it'd be minor though. And...I'd prefer you didn't have to risk it. I mean I...really like being on the team," he finally admits.

	"I will, it's not difficult," he nodded as one of his bishops is mobilized to a more useful position than behind the line of disgruntled pawns. Magic chess could get unruly if you didn't let the pawns have their chance to stab something later on though. "As long as my physical body is fine astral stuff like that is all very straightforward."
