12 Step - Hyborean Age
A dry hot wind carried dust with it as it swept across the plain. The sun scorched the earth and the summer heat was relentless. Vultures circled in the air against the backdrop of a dull blue sky. Off in the distance the brown walls and buildings of a city blended into the landscape.

There was a flash of bright light and six people and one horse stood on the dry plain.

	Svalin just stared at him. Weapons were the last thing anyone had to worry about. She was carrying two swords, two knives, her shield and there were extra knives and a bow over the pack on the back of the horse's saddle. She was almost a walking armory. 	Ryan was already looking through his bag for the three-section-staff and is holster which he could strap to his leg to that he would has that, his knife, and a few crescent darts in easy reach just in case and he was putting his jacket away since he doubted he would be needing it soon. 	The people of the city went about their business as usual, but there seemed to be less in the streets than there should have been. The usual crowds were absent and not many hawked their wares in the stalls that lined the streets. There was an odd feeling in the air. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Ryan’s face lights up like it’s Christmas, and he starts rummaging through his bag looking for his camera, “No way, I have got to get some pictures with the amount of theories about what happen in this portion of human prehistory it will be neat to see which ones actually got things right.” Yes Ryan just complete geeked out over possible learning about unknown portions of human prehistory.

	Ryan was already thinking through the process of explaining a camera to people that had never seen one before or any technology close to it when he realized how off task he was. “Point taken,” Ryan said though he still grab the camera put in easier reach in his backpack just in case he really needed it. "I'm sure some moment will come when there's something interesting and definitely nobody around to see," Vernique tells Ryan with a grin. "Probably when something's about to eat us, but sure."

"Well, we could volunteer Iason to try to do the clothes shopping, too, if nobody has any better ideas." She does have a couple of nice silver bangles for possible currency approximation.

Iason heads back into the air, scouting until he finds what he's looking for. He returns about twenty minutes later with various hides and blankets borrowed from tanners and weaver out at the edge of the village. Those seem to be more spare than a lot of the other options for clothing, since most of the people he can see don't appear to have a lot extra. Not ideal, but he's sure 'trading' them Vernique's finished clothes will be more worthwhile, later, than their raw materials. Provided they get a chance to return all this, anyway.

	Svalin removed the fur cloak she normally wore and tucked it on the back of her saddle. She then took a piece of cloth and tucked it around her like a cloak. It helped when your normal looking uniform already looked 'primitive'. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
