Jon vs. Will (as a result of the TorD thread... no reason this one can't happen or have happened)
Jon wasn't sure what to make of the report. Freak lightning storm, very brief, more destructive than it should have been. Reports of a flying figure, no one had been seriously hurt yet, but there were signs that that could change. Besides, this was his town - couldn't hurt to investigate... right?

It had started simple enough: Will had been on an assignment for his Uncle Billy when he ran into the Black Marvel. There had been a fight, and then...

He had been hit by the lightning bolt brought down by the Black marvel. When that happened, something within him shifted. The Wisdom of Socrates became muddled, confused, then overran by a foreign wisdom. One that spoke Truth in a way Socrates never had. In an instant, it gave Will a concept of understanding and Justice in a way far more clear than he had before.Everything seemed to shift around him, and the naiveté of his youth was stripped away to see the world as it truly was: Black and White. There was no place for weakness. And his costume changed to reflect that. Simplicity in the world and simplicity in the way to bring about Justice.

The first thing he did was crush the Black Marvels larynx and break as many ribs as he could. She would not be able to speak for a while, but it was mercy from him that didn't break her over his knee or tear her head off and place it at the feet of his Uncle.

Now, to find more Justice to submit.

	Jon isn't that hard to find - stealth has never been his strong suit, bright blue, the recognizable symbol - virtually synonymous with justice here, and the red cape, flying overhead. He hasn't spotted Will yet, unfortunately. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

When Will does see Jon, his first thought is that the Superboy was his ally, one who would understand what he was going to do. But he knew that with his new enlightenment, Jon would be the first one to jump in his way. Still, he had been a reliable ally, someone who had fought side by side with Will before. It was only fitting. With a speed that was foreign yet familiar, Will flew to intercept Jon. It was not in direct opposition, but it was very very aggressive.

When the Black and Gold blur slowed down to show Will, he flew there, his arms crossed and his face far more serious than Jon had ever seen.

"Hello Jonathan."

Instead, Will move upwards, bringing himself to eye level with Jon, and then above him. If Jon were not to see the truth, Action would be needed to bring him down and continue on with Justice. Jon buckles at the hit, the pace picking up. Still, early enough in the fight that he's got enough wits not to let someone pull of super high impact finishing strike. Rather than trying to stop the momentum, he whirls, trying to turn the shoulder tackle into a judo throw at the nearest building. Even if it works, he has enough momentum, he's going to impact something too - but at least he can try and mitigate the effects some.

Will had hoped to finish this quick to avoid hurting Jon more than was needed, but if he wishes to right more then so be it. he rolls again with the throw, and even with the momentum he manages to find his feet and hit the ground running. That buckled his knees a bit, but they are much stronger and can take it.

Once he has gained back the momentum Will flies low through the streets. he knows Jon wouldn't dare try to attack him from above. not with Jons foolish concept of mercy and giving Will time to plan his next move.

Jon manages to right himself enough to merely crash into the side of a building, not through it.

Will is right, Jon isn't going to sneak attack him - but that doesn't mean he's going to let Will dictate the fight either.

He uses x-ray vision to try and find the Marvel again, then speeds through alleys and side streets, trying to move to cut him off, picking up speed down a side street to try and t-bone Will, rather than giving him too much space to plan.

	The new Wisdom is not all-knowing, so Will is taken by surprise by the sidelong attack from the alley. Still, advantage could be gained from this. 	"ARGH!" Jon manages to turn enough to shield himself a little bit with Will's form - which won't hurt the Marvel, and keeps him from taking the full blast, but it still hurts, and would send him flying had Will not been holding on. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

With the connecting of the lightning, Will pulled all the strength he could into throwing Jon as hard as he could away from the Marvel. Every second he wasted here with Jon was a second wasted bringing Justice to those who would do evil

Regardless of where Jon goes, where he lands, or even if he lands, Will is now moving in the opposite direction. He has a job to do, and he intends on having it start.

	Jon goes flying, slamming into a building and through a wall. Picking himself up, he hears the Marvel taking off in the distance. Growling to himself, Jon takes back off through the hole, and hits the acceleration to try and catch up, firing a blast of heat vision when he catches sight of the black blur. 	Will thought he had a good lead on Jon, but when the heat vision streaks by his face Wills face pulls itself into an awful grimace. This was a waste of his time. he should be bringing Justice, not squabbling with Jonathan. "I warned you, Jonathan. Stay out of my way!" 	So far, Will has gotten the bigger hits in - and Jon knows that he's not going to hold back. "Not going to happen. 	Will moved about quickly, trying to get Jon into a favorable position. Will may have the Wisdom, but Jon has the experience. "Then you get no more mercy." Will concentrated. He normally didn't like using the magical aspect of his being, but this is where he had the firm advantage. Once he had the plan in his head, Will charged forward. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

There's a reason these generation red vs. blue fights are always classics. Will has the wisdom and magic - big edges, the Kryptonians are a little faster, a little stronger, but vulnerable to magic.

Jon is well aware of that, and well aware of the history of these fights going both ways - and he can't afford to lose and unleash Will in his current state on the world.

He remains in dogfighting position, where he can see what Will is doing... as soon as he sees him charging, he waits as long as he can, then exhales, breathing a focused blast of freezing, hurricine force wind directly into Will's path.

	And it is here the magical aspect of Will become apparent. He is indeed slowed down by the frozen maelstrom, but as he moves forwards he seems to glide through the chaos. Its as if even with the cold Will is going through it as one would scissors through paper. Once clear of it Will throws a punch. A single punch. As hard as he can. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Will is grateful for the ~~Protection of Apollo~~Stamina of Shu when the returning blow hits. Will reels, the increased strength of the Kryptonian hitting back harder than Wills initial hit to Jon. Will reels back a bit, the annoyance quickly becoming anger. Using this anger and the ~~Power of Zeus~~Power of Amon, Will retaliates with prejudice, swinging a right hook.

	That hurts, the magic of the blows making sure it inflicts harm past the Kryptonian invulnerability. Still, he can't let him get past him. His city, his responsibility. 	Even the magical invulnerability has its limits, and when the hard left impacts it bloodies Wills nose. It's little more than a trickle, but this shows Jon that he is getting past Wills defenses. Will swung back with a hammer blow, using as much strength as he could muster to knock Jon into the ground and away from him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Will had been diving after Jon when the heat blast caught him by surprise, spreading an uncomfortable burning sensation across Wills abdomen and stunning him enough to allow Jons charge to connect, sending Will into the mesosphere before Will regains his senses and dives back down, the air around him crackling with lightning. 	Jon was following up, charging upward, the dive connecting with the climb, resulting in a fantastic collision, and a resulting shockwave that blows out high story windows, even as high up as they are above the city. Jon, stunned by the impact, starts to fall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He has no time to think, just desperation time. He has to stop Will... and prays he's invulnerable enough to take this without going blind. As he's about to finish the word, Will gets a blast of heat vision in the face, spread wide enough to not be at its full intensity - but hopefully enough to shut him up and give Jon a moment to recover. 	Jon grabs Will by the collar with one hand, rising up rapidly, higher and higher. "I told you..." The disorientation Will felt just kept getting worse and worse as the hits came. Will was trying to fight back, but he was mad and confused and disoriented. So, for every punch Will managed to block with a clumsy shove away three made impact. And with every other hit the costume began to blur again, as if the beating was helping to push the Black Marvel lightning out.

	Finally, they're at the edge of the atmosphere. Breathing is difficult. Jon swings once more, then buries his shoulder in Will's gut - and dives, putting all of his speed on top of gravity and aiming for unoccupied ground. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Will manages to get his bearing with enough time to spare only to have the wind knocked even out of his current form by a kryptonian shoulder in his stomach. With the heat and speed, Will manages to regain his composure and tries to strike back only to make impact. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Jon tries to stand after impact, and fails the first couple times. The third he almost gets there before tumbling back. The lightning still burns, and the impact has him injured and rattled - but he hopes that finally took the fight out of Will... since he's pretty sure he has nothing left.

He tries to comm for a pickup - and can't even do that, the impact having knocked his comm out of commission.

"Ow..." he finally manages, just laying back in the crater they've left.

Will is pretty dazed himself. But as he opens his eyes he sees the impact crater and immediately tries to pull himself up. This only results in a sore sore sore Will. And with a word he calls the lightning, leaving old Will Freeman there.

Who is confused. Wasn't he just fighting the Black Marvel? last he remembered for sure was the-

No, the rest of the memories began to filter in. It felt more like he was watching a movie than he was actually doing these things, but the last thing he remembered was Jon bringing him down...and then waking up there.

Will pulls himself up, the dirt from the impact covering him.

"Jon? You around here?" The question itself was very very hoarse, but it was Will.
