Is it bad that I'm not the least bit excited about this ball? I mean, it does have the possibility of being a little fun, but getting dressed up and having to wear a mask all evening just doesn't sound all that appealing. At least I've already gotten my costume, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I am, however, looking forward to the food - the house-elves always outdo themselves on holidays and make some of the best stuff.

Do you think the teachers would even let me bring my camera in just to amuse myself for half the evening?

I thought about going out later and photographing around the lake. It's generally quiet outside on Thursdays since most everyone is in classes or starting on homework. ~~Do you want to~~ Would you like to come with me? I promise not to take your picture - I'm horrible at photographing people. Of course, I'll understand if you're too busy and don't want to. I just thought I'd ask.

I hope it turns out interesting, but hopefully no one gets in a lot of trouble if they do anything. As for why I'm not excited? You know I don't like being around a lot of people - having to come up with things to say and trying to not do something awkward and embarrass myself. You know me.
