Watching It All Play Out (Open to X-Factor)
Julian was still counting the money and good press from the Battle of the Bands a few days later, when the Battle of New York began. People were calling the club at all hours, wanting to know when N.I.C.H Machinegun was performing again, and that put Julian in a good mood.

That all ended the moment Paulo came in and turned on the television.

"Sir, there is...something you must see." Paulo says, rewinding the newscast. TiVo was a wonderful invention.

Julian, for a moment, did not understand what--or who-- he was looking at. Over the space of a few more seconds, his recognition of the young man became clear.

"Andrew...?" Julian said, his eyes widening. "Paulo, bring the car around. I need to get to Ellis Island."

"Sir, may I suggest that you call in aid? The...terrorists have hostages, and you don't know their numbers. It would be unwise to walk into a situation like this without a plan and back up." Paulo said.

Julian considered it for a moment. "Very well. The X-Men can handle themselves. Call Lisa and the others and ask them to come here. If they aren't interested, fine, but anyone I want to talk to anyone who is. We need a plan and someone needs to get to those children." he says, keeping his eyes on the television.

Andrew, it would be unwise for you die right now. It might get us all killed. Julian thought to himself.

Harry was at home when he got the call from Julian’s assistant, Paulo, asking him to come by The Popular Outcast if he had made a decision on the offer he had made him because the team was going to be going on their first mission to rescue the kids on Liberty Island.

Harry had some legal people look at the contract and there was nothing in it that Harry or his parents had serious objections too and any problems he had could be dealt with later. Harry had yet to make up his mind on it still but he wanted to do whatever he could possibly do to help those kids.

With that reasoning in mind Harry found himself at the club now ready to accept Julian’s offer.

Harry would be escorted in by Paulo and would find drinks and sandwiches at the ready.

"Good to see you again, Harry. I'm glad you could come. I trust you've seen the news?" Julian asks. If he hasn't, the TV on the wall is on, providing up-to-the-minute updates on the situation on Ellis Island.

"You mentioned being able to heal, Harry. That's actually a skill we're going to be in need of if we're going to help those children the terrorists took." Julian says.

“Yeah things are looking really bad outside and it looks like a riot is going to break out in the street at any minute too,” replies Harry, “It looks like things could go from bad to worse at any minute.”

“I can heal, supposedly I’m pretty powerful at it too,” said Harry as modestly as he could he typically didn’t like to brag but it was something he was really proud of being able to do. “Well I’ll do whatever I can to help rescue those kids.”

	DJ swings by the club, time to check their schedule for the week. He never minds playing. More gigs are more exposure and more money. That, and the X-Factor bit was intriguing - and seemed to pass muster. Just the matter of getting a stage name for Pauline remaining, since he has no problem with a public identity himself. 	As Paulo sends DJ back to join Harry and Julian, he catches sight of Jason Reed as well. "Mr. Reed, I gather you've seen the news? Mr. Howard woiuld like to discuss the situation and discuss a plan. Julian welcomed Jason, DJ and Pauline as they entered his office. They would all se Harry standing there as well, as well as food and drinks for the taking.

"Thank you all for coming. I think you all know what's going on. If not, please take a look." Julian says, gesturing to the television.

"This situation is tough for two reasons; the first is, obviously, the hostages. If any of those children is seriously injured or, God Forbid, killed...they'll pass that law so fast we might as well turn oursleves in.

The second issue is a little less obvious." Julian intones, rewinding to the start of the footage, where Andrew is speaking, then climbing the Staute of Liberty.

"That young man is the grandson of Magneto. As in, the leader of Genosha.He also happens to be foreign diplomat. If he is injured, or worse, killed in this confrontation by a human OR mutant...Registration will be the least of America's worries.

Magneto is one of the most powerful mutants on the planet and has never stood by while mutants were attacked.I'm sure you all know what you might do if you lost a family member to someone else's war." Julian says, letting the comment hang for several seconds.

"We need to rescue those children, and make sure Andrew Summers comes to no harm. But...we need a general idea of what everyone here can do in order to formulate a plan." he finishes.

Since he had already made mention of his powers earlier Harry figured he might as well explain his powers first then. “I’m a healer; if I can make contact with someone I can heal almost any injury or health problem and it works very fast too,” explained Harry, “Although I can’t use my powers to heal myself. I also should probably say I don’t have any fighting experience.” He left out how he could cause the reverse of his healing effect with a touch too, Harry was never very comfortable with that aspect of his powers and would prefer not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

Julian nods to Pauline and Harry both. "Both of you are going to be invaluable to this mission though. We'll need to make sure the children are well, and keep them calm. Who knows what they're being subjected to just now." Julian says.

"We're may need some serious muscle, and I think DJ can help with that, only because I heard about that concert." Julian says.

"Jason, what do you bring to the table?" he asks.

"Oh, I can morph and lift objects with my mind. I'm very partial to things that are soft, though. While I can twist a rock or some metal into any shape I want, it can get strenuous for me. My favorite kind of enemy has to be a smoker, though. Oh, the hairs on their tongue make it easy to choke them with said tongue." He smiled, actually very amused by his own abilities.

"Oh. And I can lift up to ten tons."

	"We'll save the dinosaur ride as a secret weapon, DJ. Besides, we don't know who we're up against completely. We'll get over to Ellis Island, get to the children, and neutralize whoever is holding them. Once the kids are safe, we'll aid the authorities in rounding up the bad guys." Julian nodded. "Excellent idea. Hopefully they don't have many telepaths to start with. Any infomation you can get will help.

Confirming the location of the kids is paramount. If we can verify they're on Ellis Island, that will save us some trouble. Also, if you catch sight of Mr. Summers..." Julian paused, trying not to give away too much. "let's just confirm he's all right as well.

If they see you, get away from there as fast as possible and call me or Pauline. We'll come get you.No information is worth your safety."

DJ nods. "They shouldn't see me, some of my forms are pretty small. Still a ways to go. Pauline can contact me. Her telepathy works with my altered forms." The usefulness of actually knowing each other going in.

He heads to the roof, taking a running dive over the edge, transforming as soon as he has momentum - Pterodactyl will get him there fast, then he can find a smaller flying or climbing form to look in on the kids.

Julian walks over to Jason as Pauline and DJ connect.

"Jason, after this is all over, the team may need some more stylish attire. I'd like to work out something exclusive regarding your fashion talents when we can." Julian says.

"Now, when we get there, if anyone comes after Pauline and Harry...feel free to show them why that's not in good for their long-term health." Julian says.

The moment Lisa arrives, Pauline speaks up with the location of the children at the Statue of Liberty and their guards.

""Must be the Visitor's Center. All right. If DJ can only see one person, that must mean there are others. Have him wait for us to get there. I've got a chopper coming to fly us in." Julian says.

"Good work Pauline. Please let DJ know I said the same, and not to engage until we're in the area." he says.

"Lisa, good to see you. Don't sit down, we're all leaving as of now. We're going to rescue those children." Julian says.
