Deciding to get a jump on her school supplies, Rowan headed into town from Quinn's house, and entered the area of New Orleans not known to Muggles. Perusing various shops, she made sure to purchase everything that was on the list for the upcoming year. The last stop she wanted to make was the stop that was going to take the most time for her.
The bookstore.
It was by and large the favorite stop on any shopping trip of Rowan's and she planned to spend a great deal of time there. Moving right to the new books for the school year, she picked up every listed book, plus a few others from other classes for her own study. Once everything on her school list was in her basket, Rowan moved to the Muggle fiction section to look for a couple new copies of some of the books she had worn out over the summer. Old favorites for the most part, especially a new copy of The Vampire Lestat and another copy of Kushiel's Dart.
Coming around the corner of the shelf, Rowan saw a rather... interesting sight. She watched, silent for a moment as one of her schoolmates started doing... whatever it was. He was moving books around, and some of the titles that she could see were some of her favorite books.
"What are you doing?"
It came out a little more harsh than she had intended.

"Oh, but it's not trouble at all! I'll see you in the common room then on Thursday. After dinner alright with you? I'll bring everything by then, and even if you don't use it, at least you'll have it, right? I have some great autobiographical accounts from notable historical vampires..." She said it as if it was a tasty treat in front of his face that she was offering, instead of a book about what it was like to be a vampire firsthand.
"It's not an imposition, I promise you. So, I'll leave you to this then, and I will see you on Thursday? Excellent! Have a good weekend!" Rowan handed him one book that had gotten further away than the others with a sunny smile and then with a wave, she turned to go.
