Monthly Theme - Valentine.



This is the love of my life, Dan. Isn't he just ever so special? :P

Seriously, though, I love him. And he does look better than that 99% of the time, haha. I just wanted the laugh factor, especially since I'm so damn serious most of the time on here. Needless to say, we were all drinking quite heavily when this picture was taken!

Anyway, I met Dan a pretty long time ago (2005?), while I was dating my (now) ex. They were best friends, bandmates, etc., and he spent a lot of time at our house making music and whatnot with my ex. He and I started to become friends, and got pretty damn close after my surgery in August 2007, when he would come by and take care of me while the ex was working. A few months later, I was having an affair with him (I think that started around October 2007), unknown to the ex. I decided it was love, and broke up with the ex on January 26th, 2008...and that's the story of how Dan and I ("official" anniversary is January 27th) ended up as a couple, in short. Its been over a year now, and we are still going strong - we live together, and pretty much are like a family when you include the cat, Dimitra. We've been pretty much planning on sticking it together for the long haul, and occasionally toss around the idea of getting married, though there is no rush, and we're happy where we're at for now.

I don't know if we'll do anything all that exciting for Valentine's Day this year. I'm guessing that if our work schedules allow it, we'll go out to dinner or something like that, but otherwise, we are pretty low-key about these sorts of things. Last year, we went out for sushi - the first time I have ever celebrated Valentine's Day since the grade school "trade cards with everyone in the class" bullshit. I'm hoping for some time together and maybe a back rub if I'm lucky. :)
