December 17th, 1978
Who: Giada Vance and Graeme Dorny GiGra LOL xDD
What: Graeme's birthday!
When: ...Graeme's birthday!

"I almost feel like making you a cape," Giada said, pulling her legs underneath her and sitting up on her knees. She'd brought a cake over to Graeme's after Savannah had thankfully pointed out that the small cake that came with the teddy bear wasn't actually edible. Giada had been sure that the flowers weren't real, but really nicely decorated icing in the shape of flowers...but she took her sister-in-law's advice and picked up a small ice cream cake that she was sure was edible. Showing up with a cake and plastic plates and forks (because how rude would it be to come over and give him dishes to wash? Though she would've washed them, now that she thought about it...), Giada reckoned that the evening was going to go rather well, even if they spent it in a panic attack over the flavors of the gummy bears.

She lifted her cloak up and put it on her shoulders, striking a slightly heroic but leaning-more-towards-flirty pose at Graeme, who was sitting beside her on the couch, "I dunno. I think superheroes need spandex. Did I promise no spandex?"

"A cape?" he said with a quirk of his brow, staring intently at the Gummy bear in his palm, waiting for it to turn red so he could--

Damn it, he was too slow. He bit down on the lemon flavored bear, making a face since he was expecting cherry and got that instead. It was always a weird experience when you expected to taste one thing and tasted something completely different. But he had gotten used to it, since earlier that night they had made a little game out of seeing who could bite the most cherry flavored bears in a row. Graeme won, but he had a feeling that Gia let him win, even though he was trying to let her win.

He shifted on the couch when she adjusted her cloak, and found himself grinning as she struck a pose for him tilting his head a little bit as she explained about the spandex. "Can I try and make you promise no spandex?" He rose his brows and leaned over to wrap a hand around her waist, pulling her towards him so that she was leaning forward, supporting herself against his shoulders. "Because...spandex is just a horrible invention. We should rebel against spandex. We'll be the rebellious kind of superheroes."

Her eyebrows lifted in a similar fashion, and Giada puckered her lips in thought. She used to think she was absolutely nuts with the way her conversations in her head would go (what, you don't have conversations with yourself in your head?) but since she began seeing Graeme, Giada began to realize that maybe she wasn't strange for the random thoughts that burst through. Graeme seemed to have them too! Of course, this could mean that they were both insane, but he seemed perfectly all right with that, so she didn't see any need to worry about it. Except it was rather hard to give Savannah details about their dates, but that was okay too, because it was all about having fun! Fun fun fun..

"I think," she said slowly, letting her cloak slip off her shoulders and to the couch, one finger going to Graeme's chin to trace up his jawline, "it really depends on how you try to make me. Because spandex, while it accents a person's most unflattering features," she had to stop for a moment to try and keep a straight face, even though she was blushing deeply by now, "is quite useful for the athletic and flexible ways of a superhero."

Graeme really couldn't help but bite his lip to not smirk at her mention of 'most unflattering features'. "Well, I should warn you, I'm very persuasive. Especially when it comes to my strong opposing views of spandex." With a grin, he pulled her over a little bit more so that she had one leg on either side of him on the couch, his hands placed on her waist as she held herself above him. "For example...while spandex does accept a person's most unflattering features, and is quite useful for the athletic and flexible ways of a superhero, let us look at the many down sides of Spandex. For starters, there's the itching. I don't know about you, but when I imagine us fighting the many foes of Burger Boy and Slushie Girl, I don't once imagine us stopping to scratch. That could lose us precious time. Then, there's the bunching. Never comfortable. Then there's the rising fabric that seems to defy gravity. Even less comfortable, depending on the area. So, clearly, spandex is overrated." He gave a casual shrug, as though this was a very normal conversation, even though his eyes clearly showed how amused he was by what they were talking about.

What she liked most about all of this, all of her time spent with Graeme, was that it was normally just like---well, this. Fun. Lots of fun, lots of laughter, and a hell of a lot of snogging. Which, Giada believes, was the real reason they'd started this whole fling-turned-kind-of-regular-not-official thing. She wasn't as sexually shy as she had been at the beginning of her relationship with Emmet, which made sense, because she was a bit experienced in things now, but she'd always held back anyway, even if she felt comfortable.

Maybe that was her own fault, she'd be the first to take the blame, but with her new rebellious streak (really, it wasn't that bad, it wasn't as if she shaved her head and got a tattoo on her face or anything---), Giada was just doing what she felt like doing. Of course, it wasn't---haa, it wasn't everything, but if she wanted to kiss Graeme or straddle him (oh my) then she'd do it, damn it.

Giada let out a light breath, her hands having gone to the back of Graeme's neck, "I didn't hear a word you said," she murmured.

He raised a brow as she admitted to not listening to anything had said, one arm moving around her waist as the other began to play with her wavy locks. "Well, I suppose that just means I'll have to go with my default method of persuasion...which I must admit, is the preferred method. No talking involved." His hand moved up to tuck her hair behind her ear, feeling her silky blonde strands slide against his fingers as he placed his palm against the side of her neck, gently guiding her down to him so that he could give her a soft kiss which grew with intensity little by little. He stopped before he got too involved and pulled back, his crystal blue eyes meeting her own. "Is it working? Or...would you like me to go back to rambling on about clingy, unflattering fabric?"

It was amazing that no matter how strange their conversations got, neither of them ever thought twice about it. They knew what they were saying, and even if no one else got their humour, they always had an idea of what was going on at all times. They got each other. It was really quite brilliant. Even if he really wasn't sure what he and Giada were considered, since they never really made it official what they were labeled as, he was certain of one thing. That he wanted to keep seeing her. She had gotten him color changing Gummy Bears for his birthday, and a bear with a balloon and a little fake cake, and pencils and paper, and she had brought him cake, and then she was there it was just...it was a very good birthday, even if he got no other gifts at all.

Oy, she was smitten. And she'd feel guilty about that when she got home, because it was a bit soon to be getting into another relationship after Emmet, it was a bit rude to want to gush about him to Savannah when her sister-in-law was just getting over a breakup. But Giada simply couldn't help it, she fancied Graeme and wanted him to kiss her and she wanted to snog him and, sigh, she could go without kissing him for a week because they'd talk and send letters and it was different. She'd loved her time with Emmet before he...well, before he changed, but it had never been as relaxed. A lot of it had to do with her secrets, but when Giada thought of it---it was only avoiding talk of her job and family, the rest of their conversations were all her, no matter what Emmet had argued with her.

Giada knew she wasn't perfect, but she'd never felt so relaxed with herself as she does with Graeme. And she reckons that's rather wonderful. So, she would not feel guilty for being happy. No one should, yeah?

"Try a little harder, please," she said softly, a bubbling in her stomach; Giada wasn't the best of flirts, but she was definitely getting there, and batted her nose gently with Graeme's.

Graeme stared up at her, his thumb sliding against her jawline as he swallowed, nodding his head as he gave her a small smirk. "I think I can do that." Once again he pulled her forward, needing to kiss her again. He would have been alright just looking at her and talking to her, and being with her, but kissing her was just...it was good. It was very good, and he felt something when he kissed her. It wasn't just casual snogging to him anymore. Maybe it had started out that way, as a way for both of them to get over their last relationships, but in the process, he had developed feelings for her.

They remained in this position for a little while longer until he shifted on the couch, moving them both so that he could lay her back down on the couch, using one of his knees to support him, one of her legs still on either side of him. He placed a hand beside her head on the couch, the other one still on her waist. He didn't know how far this was going to go or how 'hard he should try', but it wasn't really about getting anywhere. He was content with just this, but he did want more...but when she was ready for it. For now, he'd test the waters, trying to read her body language to figure out at what point he should stop. After waiting a little while longer, the hand on her waist moved so that his fingers could lift up at the fabric of her shirt, feeling the smooth skin of her hips above her jeans.

She was honestly quite terrified of sex.

Not the actual physical bit of it, no, she reckoned that most people wouldn't rave about it so much if it wasn't enjoyable, but it was what came after the sex that made Giada creep away from the subject. It was serious, wasn't it? Having a sex partner---goodness, that sounded so--but it was less embarrassing than saying she had a lover, right? Oh, she'd blush just thinking about it. She knew a lot of her friends had gotten over the terror stories of sex long ago (heck, some of her friends were married with children on the way--), but she didn't necessarily feel bad or childish about her concerns. Again, doing something for herself and not to please anyone else; she wasn't sure how Emmet had really felt about never having sex, but it was something she'd been committed to.

Giada had thought about having sex with Graeme. First date, the thought of 'ha! Going out and shagging the first bloke I see!' came through vengefully, but she's pushed down the thought. She didn't want any regrets, and the fact that she had to think twice made her decision quite clear. Except, of course, that didn't mean they had to resort to kissing and hand-holding only, no, her shirt and bra had been discarded to the floor quite some time ago, and it was quite impressive with their maneuvering on the couch, as Giada managed to end up lying on top of Graeme without falling off the couch. While she didn't want to have sex with him (yet), Giada knew that she wanted more from Graeme than casual snogging and random dates. Her hair fell down onto his shoulders and into his face for a moment as she pulled back and Giada let out a breath, a sly smile before leaning back into his chest, lips grazing his for a moment.

"Do you want to be my boyfriend, Graeme Dorny?" she asked, kissing up his jawline to keep things going, and also to avoid his eyes in case he wanted to say no.

He had gone slow, her shirt raising up before it was removed. His hand went to the clasp of her bra next, his fingers in position to twist it apart for a few seconds before he actually went through with it, still trying to make sure it was okay to go that far. Once that too was removed, he moved his hand up her torso, to explore the curves of her body, and enjoy the feeling of her skin against his palm and fingertips. If there was a word to describe the situation they were in, it wouldn't be...sexy. Not that he didn't find her sexy, but it wasn't about that. It was...sensual. It was about more than just sex, or about touching her and kissing her. There were definitely feelings behind everything they did together. Giada wasn't the only one who had started going out just to move on from an ex, but...it really had evolved into something more.

He kissed her deeply, his eyes shut as he shifted on the couch, working with her so that they could switch positions. Resting his head back on the couch once she pulled away, he mirrored her own smirk, lifting up his hand to brush back her hair, playing with the ends of the honey hued strands as he listened to her speak, once again closing his eyes as her lips moved against his jaw. His smirk turned into a grin and he turned his head so that he was looking at her.

"Are you asking me out, Giada Vance?" He knew that she would probably start to look the color of a tomato if he waited any longer after that question to answer her. "Because, if you are than my answer would be yes. And if not, than I'll have to admit, I'd be kind of disappointed." With another smile, he lifted his head to reach her lips before he moved to kiss her neck.

She let out a little sigh; whether it be at his answer or his lips on her neck, Giada wasn't sure, but she smiled and leaned closer. She'd just asked a boy out. She'd just asked a boy out and he said yes, and she was currently laying topless very much on top of him in his flat with no curfew and no parents to worry about. Her hand went into his hair to push him closer and Giada bit her tongue at all the new feelings coursing through her, physical and mental. She'd admit; fooling around with Graeme was exciting, but it had also worried her a bit. Would her friends think she was something of a tart, snogging some bloke that wasn't her boyfriend? But if it meant just being around Graeme, then, well---ah, okay, no more thinking about it. You're snogging your boyfriend, Giada, stop thinking.
