Posted for this Friday!

It had been a long, long year for St. Mungo's.

Mark stood with a long flute of champagne in one hand, taking slow, deep breaths. The rearing of the ugly virus' head had given the year a bad, bad start, but here they were. Lives had been lost, but so many had been saved. Mark felt bittersweet about celebrating the year, but he knew events like this needed to be held to keep the hospital running. The donations were used to buy new supplies, potion remedies, and to provide for better training for their healers. Everything was being spun into a positive manner, Mark just wished that it didn't have to be such a lavish event to do so.

"Do you think it's too much?" he said to his wife, looking down at Hannah with a worried smirk. If anything, the night provided a reason for his wife to doll herself and look even more fantastic than she normally did. They deserved a night out, especially now that their trio of children was complete.

POSTED FOR SATURDAY~ Sinners & Saints Ghost Train!

As the country side rushed by outside the window, Dianna could feel her pride grow with each passing second. She wasn't one to admit that she bragged about her achievements, but it would be a lie to think that she was not going to be boasting at how overwhelmingly amazing this event had turned out to be. The turn out had been far more than anticipated, the musicians that varied through every other cart were fantastic and livening up the mood---there were even ghosts of old conductors and passengers floating through the carts and having the time of their after-lives scaring the guests.

It was to be a fun, fantastic, frightful night. Dianna was beside herself with excitement, and she tugged her skirt down a bit and went on a search for a friendly face to interact with. Merlin, she'd really out done herself this time, she thought amusing as a cart-wide sized cobweb magically unspun to let her pass.

Dianna flipped a golden curl over her shoulder, smirking greatly. She was so brilliant.

Elsie!
He had not had the desire to hold a baby in years. His nephew and niece, they got stared at by Elliot from a distance, a smile and a wave. His sister was always trying to push them into his arms, in her subtle but ineffective ways. Elliot had even found himself becoming distant with his own son, even though he and Liam had never been a hands-on pair. Liam was much more confident than Elliot had ever been, and often found pleasure in just sitting in the same room, on the same couch, at the same table as his dad.

But it was this strange pull towards the nursery, as if he had some sort of invisible rope wrapped around his waist that would only stretch to their front door before snapping him back. Elliot had spent the last nine months racked with guilt, sick with worry, and to have the relief of this wonderful, lovely, beautiful baby girl! He just never wanted to leave her side.

"Is that right?" he said softly as Elysia let out some sounds. Elliot still was keeping his distance, if sitting at the end of her crib and peering over showed. While he knew that his daughter was healthy and not a monster like he was, Elliot was still cautious---he still didn't trust the healers and who knew what infants could be infected with. He pushed himself a little closer, chin resting on the bars of the crib, "I believe you're correct, Miss."

Elsie!
One should note, that you should never get bitten by a werewolf. It tended to ruin your life. Well, most aspects of your life. Elliot mused silently as he flipped through the muggle newspapers, looking for temporary job openings. He'd always been a hard worker, enjoying moving up in the world and being someone's boss. That was the kind of Gryffindor Elliot was, the bossy-sort. So when he'd been bit, nearly killed, he'd thought that maybe life really was over, he'd decided that maybe being in charge wasn't everything. Maybe he could just, you know. Live alone on a hilltop and never enter society again.

Of course----of course he couldn't do that, he had his father, he had his son, he had Eliza, he had Elsie. Elsie, Elsie, Ellsinore Branstone who was now Ellsinore Alderton because for some reason, a reason Elliot still couldn't understand, she'd still wanted to be with him after he'd been turned, she'd even wanted to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him. Him. Elliot, the werewolf.

She was why he continued to jump from job to job. Elliot liked to have another one up before he got fired for missing days, for being too sick. It made him feel better, really---not being fired, but starting fresh every few months. It didn't help the bills, or give them much time out for fun, but---it was better than the alternative, right?

He heard the click of the door and Elliot looked up, smiling as his wife finally returned from her long excursion. Elliot shut the paper and let out a breath, eyebrows high, "I've got chicken, mashed potatoes, and penne alfredo all ready to go in the kitchen. Be impressed."

Diagon Alley Attacks --- Backdated for Friday --- Open to All!
"Ex--cuse, me---move, move, move!"

Didn't people know how to act in a time of crisis? You didn't stand around screaming bloody murder, staring at the rays of hexes and jinxes while you waited to get hit by one of them. You moved, you hid, you did whatever you could to stop the bloody death eaters that were interrupting the peace. You didn't become a distraction or something that could cause even more harm. Emmeline jumped and twisted and forced herself through the crowd of people surging in every which direction. This was going to be such a disaster.

Emmeline wished she hadn't offered to take the package to Flourish and Blotts. The package was too delicate to let an owl deliver it, Patrick had to head home early because of his daughter, and seeing as it was only a five minute walk, hey! Get some sun, earn some brownie points from the cousin who was constantly harassing her to do stuff other than ogle at her nerdy boyfriend! Haa. She wished she'd just refused and taken on the extra paperwork, but that meant that Edward would have probably taken the walk to Flourish and Blotts and Emmeline knew for a fact that he would have either frozen in terror or with his bad luck been shot in the head once the first death eaters showed up.

Okay, stop the morbid thoughts.

The door of Calliope's jingled pleasantly, completely ignorant of the chaos that was going on just down the block. Emmeline knew it wouldn't be long before they reached the publisher. "Edward! We've got to go!" she shouted, trying to keep her voice from sounding too stressed. "Come on!"

Halloween Party (for Saturday!)! Everyone!
Halloween was her favorite day of the year, outside of her birthday. And Christmas. And Valentine's Day! It was still pretty up there, considering that there were 365 days in the bloody year! Liz couldn't handle the excitement, whether it be from dressing Katie up in adorable little outfits (plural, because she simply could not pick one obnoxiously cute costume for her daughter) or doing her hair or making Ian dress up and the candy!

Ohhhh, the candy.

It was probably not a good idea to be on a full blown sugar rush when you left for a big party like this, but her fans (she had FANS!) were used to her rapid paced talk! So this should be the norm for everyone, because Liz Bell was a show stopper! The red carpet was sooo much fun, and the Bells were just sofreakinggoodlooking so why would the cameras not flash at them and sigh.

Halloween was the best ever.

"How are my buns?" she asked without looking up, unsure if she had wandered away from her husband or not. There were so many pretty costumes and lights and shiny things...it really wasn't her fault if she'd gotten lost in the crowd.
