Estella
"Bed. Now."

Marcus Flint let out a long, groan as he placed his hands on his Dad's knees, jumping up and down in protest. "But I wanna see Stella and Jacob! PLEEEEASE, DAAAAAD?" Caden leaned forward on the couch, and raised his brows. "What did I say?" "But why not?!" "Because I said so." "But they're coming over!" "Marcus, they are coming over to sleep, which is what you're supposed to be doing right now." "But-" "If you're not in that bed by the time I count to 3, you're going to be in your room all day tomorrow." The boy jumped up and down, letting out whine after whine. "1." Marcus frowned greatly and stomped away, going upstairs like he was supposed to do about 10 minutes ago after he had gotten up to get a glass of water. There was silence once he got to the top of the stairs.

"...2!"

Footsteps moved upstairs, and there was the sound of a door slamming, which just made Caden's headache even worse than it already was. Leaning back on the couch, he raised his hands to press his palms against his closed eyes, trying to get the pain to go away. He thought that these last 2 weeks were never going to end, between the new M.A.G.I.C. law and Quidditch. Then again, one had to do with the other, didn't it? The only reason he was working 3 times at hard at the game was because of that God damn law. So, when he realized that his jersey was missing, he was not in the best of moods. He thought his son had taken it again at first, since there had been a time when he thought it made a fantastic blanket, but it wasn't there. That only left one other place. Estella's. When she confirmed that it was there, he felt just a bit of relief, knowing it wasn't in a ditch somewhere.

She really just needed to hurry up, because he was certain if she took any longer his headache would just be worse and she probably wouldn't want to be around him at all. Not something he needed at the moment.

Strangely enough, the spinning of the Floo Network did not bother Jacob as much as apparation did. She supposed that feeling like you were being squeezed through a tube could be a very irritating, but the constant spinning usually got her sick so it was strange that her son preferred this method of transportation. At any rate, she arrived at Caden's nearly two minutes after the wash was done, and with a quick drying spell (leaving the rest of her clothes to figure it out themselves---she hoped the self-drying spells worked), she arrived in Caden's living room.

"Hi--" she whispered, stretching her neck to look at her son, who--"He's still asleep. Well."

Estella grinned at Caden in a strange manner, startled that Jacob had slept through the swirling trek, but glad that he had. She twisted, showing Caden the jersey she'd tucked under her arm with a quiet 'ta daa...'

"I'll meet you up in the bedroom?" she said, already starting toward the stairs. Estella swore she saw a flash of brown hair peeking around the corner, and grinned as she realized she'd probably have to tuck Marcus in as well.

Dropping his arms down to look to his fireplace, he rose to his feet to approach her. He hadn't even had a chance to change out of the jeans and t-shirt he had been wearing that day, since he had been spending most of the time trying to take care of things he didn't have enough time for anymore (like his son for example), or digging through his closet and drawers trying to find that one yellow article of clothing. He probably should have thought about investing in another one, just as a back up or something, but he had never had this problem before.

He glanced down at Jacob who was sound asleep, before she twisted away to reveal that bloody shirt. Giving a sigh of relief, he nodded his head in agreement when she mentioned the bedroom, reaching out to take the jersey from her. "Yeah..." He spoke quietly, careful not to wake the young boy in her arms. Turning around, he followed her upstairs, peeking into Marcus' bedroom to catch him just jumping back into bed, pretending like he had been sleeping the entire time. He didn't even bother saying anything, but just closed the door behind him and moved down the hall into his own bedroom to put the jersey away. After that was done, he slipped into the bathroom, reaching into the cabinet to grab a vile of potion, taking a large swig of something that would hopefully make what was slowly becoming a migrane disappear.

One thing about having an extremely tall boyfriend was the fact that his t-shirts were huge. She used to be nervous about this, but now Estella found no qualms in digging through Caden's top drawer for a shirt to wear as a pajama. When she was in her more playful moods, she usually had to mention once or twice about how much she loved wearing men's shirts, and---it was a nice, cozy thing, and it was intimate too, so there was that aspect of it all.

By the time Caden finished in the bathroom, Estella was sitting cross-legged at the head of the bed, against the pillows. Now, she was wide awake. By the looks of her boyfriend, he didn't seem to be, so she would lie down and all of that, but it was going to take her ages to get to sleep, and, hm.

It was really odd, not having to worry about work. Her studio was going to come down with its decision by Friday, and Estella found herself not worried about it. She knew that it would cause issues, but she liked the extra time at home, and found that it wasn't too drastic of a change. Maybe this is what her life would've been like if Jake hadn't died, perfect little housewife.

Her eyes lifted to Caden with a smile; though, she was quite happy with her situation right now. "See? No problem. Though I think your floo exit is...two hundred grates from mine. Give or take---it is hard to count while spinning."

Shutting off the light in the other room, he approached the bed, not wasting any time as he laid down beside her, his arms behind his head as he stared up at her with those teal orbs. He had a feeling that him laying down might have been a bad idea, concidering the fact that he was ready to fall asleep standing up just a moment ago, but he was sure he could keep himself away for her.

"That sounds about right..."

He mumbled, since it seemed like too much effort to open his mouth all the way and actually enunciate his words. Letting out a sigh, he moved one of his arms to rub at his jaw. "Hate the floo network anyway...but apparating is too fucking exhausting."

Estella shimmied down, turning to lie on her side, head on the pillow. She smiled at Caden, even though he looked and seemed grumpy as all hell, but it wasn't as if she'd never had to deal with the grump before. And he wasn't grumpy at her, so it was an easy situation to figure out.

"It really is," she said softly, maybe unconsciously trying to lull him to sleep. Estella couldn't help but shift even closer to him, having gotten used to the extra body in her bed. "If you bought a house near the stadium, you could walk, and then all your problems will be solved."

Puddlemere was a nice area. Rural, the stadium was hidden with the forests like most of the other quidditch pitches were. She liked hanging out in the main street area before games, or during practices on her free days.

"And then--" she said, leg curling around his, "Marcus and--Cormac, and Katie, they could all be neighbors, wouldn't that be nice?"

He let out a long breath, allowing his eyes to shut as she spoke to him, giving quiet hums of agreement every now and then, just to show that he was listening. The idea was running through his mind, and it was only noticable when his lashes parted, and he looked over at her. It probably would be more convenient to not live an entire country away from the Quidditch pitch. To not have to apparate so far away when you were still trying to wake up. It was rather dangerous, but he had never caused any damage so far.

"The stadium isn't the only thing I'm concerned about." He raised his brows slightly, trying to get his point across. "Us living in two completely different areas of Europe isn't exactly the easiest thing to manage in the world, now is it?" It was only after he said all of that did he realize that it could have come across as a complaint about thier long distance relationship. That wasn't the case at all. "I'm willing to travel from Ireland to England just to see you, I'm not saying that I'm not, but half the time when we don't see eachother it's because one of us is too damn tired or stressed to make the trip over."

Estella twisted onto her stomach now, linking her fingers together to press her chin to her hands. Coming up with a solution for this inconvenience wasn't hard, actually--she flushed immediately as the thought popped into her head. It was an easy answer, technically, but there were so many emotional and...future ties that could come into play that she didn't know if...if they were ready or even willing to talk about, let alone--

"Do you want to--" she stopped herself, dropping her forehead into the pillow for a second. She couldn't just bring it up. Estella didn't know how Caden felt about their future, she couldn't just--she had...ideas, and--and thoughts, and plans, but they were always so busy, and...would he want to get a place, together? That was serious, it was so serious because she wouldn't want to do this unless she knew that...that this was going to last.

Of course, no one could know that, and lying in the bed right now were two people who knew that quite well.

"You could come to dinner, and stay the night," she finished weakly, not able to catch his eyes, her tone indicating that even she knew it was a silly response.

It wasn't hard for him to figure out just what Estella was trying to get at with her unfinished thought. If it was a big enough suggestion for her to dip her head down and avoid his eye contact, he knew that it was something big. And, concidering the fact that they were talking about inconvenient living conditions, it wasn't too hard for him to connect the dots.

Turning onto his side, he rested his elbow on his pillow, and rested his temple in his palm, looking down at her as the idea swirled through his head. Even though she had tried to getaway from the question that was halfway out of her mouth, he was still focused in on it. It wasn't just an idea that they should pass over, since...well, it was a big deal. Or, it was if it was really what he thought it was.

"Or...we could move in together."

He said it rather casually, knowing that if he didn't just say it, neither of them would bring it up again until much later.

Estella had been wide awake this whole time, but now, oh God. Even if he gave her a sleeping potion, her mind would still be lively and swirling with so many different thoughts that she suddenly got dizzy. Yes, she got dizzy, and pressed her hands into her face to try and calm herself down because goodness. Oh goodness.

She didn't know any other life than living with your husband. Estella hadn't moved into the house she was currently in until she was married, she didn't know how to deal if--if they ended up not making it. How would that work with Jacob and Marcus and--and she supposed you could say that about a marriage, that you didn't know if it was going to last, but when you did take those vows you made a promise to try and--

"Yes---we could," she said, nodding as her head moved back and forth for a moment, trying to come up with the words. "But---we have to think about--the boys, and...and getting used to each other and--"

Estella finally looked over toward Caden. Did he know that she saw a future, for them? Could he tell? They weren't really ones who talked, mostly because he was a one-word sentence man and she babbled uncontrollably, but there had to be other ways for him to know how she felt, right? She smiled and pushed her hair out of her face.

"I'd need to--it's---there's the whole---I need to know it's gonna last, for---for Jacob's sake." How she hadn't passed out in saying those few words, but Estella felt like her face was going to burn off or---that she was just going to pass out from the heat, it was really hot, wasn't it--"Merlin--you need a fan in here--"
