"I just arrived home," a murmur in her ear. He sipped his scotch again and shivered from the taste. "What did you request for dinner tonight love?" He looked down at her and gave her a small smile and kissed her temple. No one would say if they saw this arrangement that Lucius Malfoy was cold. The frown went unnoticed however. He hadn't been married to her long enough to notice that frown and would've been worried about her well being if he had noticed it.
As they approached the dining room he pulled out her seat for her and waited for her to sit down so he could push the chair in and head to his own seat. He was attempting to make small talk with her and was hoping it was working. "What did you accomplish today Narcissa?" He asked a little more seriously watching her face for a moment. He wasn't very good at Legllimens but he could just tell when someone was lying as he was so prone to do so himself.
