Her legs had given out and she couldn't hold herself up. Miranda wanted to snap this at Moses, tell him to stop being stupid for thinking that she could actually make herself do anything but crumble to the ground in hysterics, but even her usually natural scolding ways were being shoved away by the panic her mind was in.

As Miranda dropped down to the floor (if Moses came with her, she didn't notice), she let out long, painful groans, her body bending to press her face into her lap and just--just---

The didn't know where the family was. They didn't know where Ralph was. Miranda had heard the stories, she had heard about those families that just vanished, never to be seen again---she'd heard about those families that vanished, and then were found in horrible piles of---

"He--he---" Miranda couldn't possibly say this, how could her brother make her say it? How--how---how could she---she couldn't, she couldn't.

Sitting up suddenly, Miranda's blurry eyes searched for the Daily Prophet that she'd torn the comics out of this morning---it had to be in there, right? It---it had been sitting there all day and--Miranda pushed forward and grabbed her wand with a huff and somehow managed to summon the paper. Flipping frantically, it didn't take long for her to find the article, and a new wave of hysterical tears burst out of her and her sobbing intensified as she threw the paper at her brother, pulling into herself again.
