Who: Ludo and Kalista
When: Thursday evening
Where: Kal's place, then Solo Mio

Ludo was only slightly nervous about this. They'd never been terribly public with each other but the fact that she was agreeing to dinner with him was promising, right? He had the box in his pocket and he was terrified of her response to it--would she hate it? Think it was too much and then hate him for it? On the other hand if she loved it then...well, that would be good, right? And she couldn't hate it, right?

Right. With a resonant pop he arrived at her doorstep. If the outside was any indicator of the inside, she had a very nice place. He let out a slow breath, trying to calm himself long enough to knock on the door. He adjusted the sleeves and collar of his robes before knocking three times on the door. Now just to wait.

“Shit…shit!” Kal muttered to herself as she tried to get the dangling piece of jewelry through her earlobe, her tongue clucking as she pushed it through, sighing with relief as she worked on the other side. As always, the youngest Rosier was running late, and didn’t seem to be worried about any one else’s schedule except for her own. Which is why when she heard the knock on the door, she didn’t even bother answering it right away. Her other earring was much more cooperative, and once it was fastened, she took a step back to flip her hair over her shoulders, taking a good look at herself. She wanted to look good, and it wasn’t exactly because she was meeting up with Ludo. Well, actually, Ludo really didn’t have that much to do with why she was taking so much time looking her best, but she knew that there would be a lot of important people at the restaurant he was taking her to. Besides, if she was going to be caught by someone she knew with Ludo Bagman, she might as well have something good to fall back on if they started mocking her.

God, she really was a horrible person sometimes. But, if she had to be honest with herself, she actually looking forward to seeing Ludo, God help her. She really wasn’t sure why, but she supposed it had a lot to do with the fact that she hadn’t really seen much of anyone since graduation. It wasn’t that she lacked friends, but being around friends and being around someone who wanted to be more than friends was such a different experience. Just knowing that he wanted her was something that kept her high, even if he was…well, who he was.

After he knocked again, Kalista sighed and grabbed her shoes, putting them up before she adjusted the blouse that she was wearing and headed to answer the door. Pulling it open she stared at him, raising a brow. “Bloody hell, Bagman, is there a fire I should know about or are you just that impatient?” After that was said, she allowed herself to take a look at him. He looked…well, he looked pretty good. “So, are we going to go, or are we just going to stand here all night?”

If Ludo knew what she was thinking, well...he'd be knocked down a peg and then raised up one or two more. Obviously her looking forward to seeing him bode well for the evening. Thank goodness he had no experience, then, with legilimency.

He grinned as she opened the door, first at how she looked (bloody hell, she practically knocked him off his feet with how gorgeous she was) and then at her response. She had a lot of spunk when they chatted. "Just impatient to see you, love," he said with a smirk, leaning in to kiss her cheek. Oh, Merlin she even smelled good.

He better be seen as looking good! The robes ended up eating about one third of his first paycheck, and the bloody gift he bought ate about another third. But it was worth it. At least, he thought it would be worth it. It was thoughtful, it was something that she would like, why wouldn't it be worth it? Oh, right. Because her responses to everything were completely backwards and not at all what he expected. That could definitely be it. "We're going," he said calmly. "I was just having a hard time focusing, what with you looking so beautiful. Are we good with side along apparition?" Hey, who wouldn't look for a chance to hold a girl like her close to him for travel?

The fact that he had called her one of the few names that she had specifically told him not to call her was responded to with a slight narrowing of her eyes, only to roll them and lean forward to allow him to kiss her on the cheek. The gesture wasn’t completely one sided, since she kind of twisted her mouth and puckered her lips as though she were about to actually kiss him as well, but they never made contact with his skin.

She managed to smirk a bit at his compliment, crossing her arms over her chest as she placed her weight on one foot, her hip popping out to the side as she did so. “We? Hm…I guess we are. But I swear to Merlin, Bagman, if half of me winds up here, and the other half winds up in Solo Mio, or if I lose any part of me because you can’t focus long enough to get us there safely, once I’m put back together I am going to make sure you won’t be able to play Quidditch for months. Are we clear?” She raised her brows, but before he had a chance to confirm that there was no other way to interpret that warning, she closed and locked her door behind her and moved to stand next to him. “Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get going.”

He liked the sound of that...we. "Oh, don't worry. I don't plan on splinching either of us tonight," he said with a grin, taking advantage of the situation to pull her closer to him--gently, of course. Truth be told, he was focusing hard on not hurting either of them as they popped away from her house and arrived on the other end unscathed.

"See? Piece of cauldron cake," he told her with a wink. Phew, thank Merlin that ended out well. There was a couple in front of them, but they moved quickly along and after a short conversation with the host, they were being led to a more secluded table--the type you paid extra money to get so the noise (and prying eyes) was more bearable.

He'd never been to the restaurant, it was never something the Bagman family could afford as a hole, and looking at the french on the menu had him a bit nervous. He had no idea what to order, but...when in doubt go with the special, right? He smiled at Kalista across the table. "Do you eat here often?" he asked casually, trying to make conversation until the waitress arrived.
