Who: Noralie and Rosalie (lol)
Where: Rosie's place
When: Tuesday evening

Okay, so she really wasn't supposed to be using the floo until the baby was born, but she hadn't seen Rosie in forever and she had cookies and Nora did not want to eat them all by herself. No, why do that when you have friends who can help you out, right? Besides, she couldn't very well walk everywhere, and portkeys were to tedious to set up. Apparation, naturally, was strictly out of question.

The two women had decided via owl that they needed to get together sometime for a chat, just to catch up on things. Tonight seemed like as good a night as ever and so, plate of tightly wrapped cookies in hand, Nora made her way to the fireplace to go for a visit to her friend.

Rosalie was, as per usual, at home. While seeing Braith had gotten her out of the house a little bit more, she was still the Early To Bed Early To Rise type. Rosalie's evenings were more likely to involve a book and a hot bath than anything else.

This was a Fiction and Red Wine night, but Rosalie was pleased beyond measure to hear the floo fire up. She was even more pleased when she looked up from her book and saw Nora standing in the fireplace.

"Nora!" Rosalie set her book down and stood, beaming at her friend. "Oh, it's so good to see you," she said, coming up to hug her. She wasn't generally a very demonstrative person, but with an old friend like Nora, all bets were off.

"Rosie!" Nora said happily as she hugged the other woman. "I'm sorry I didn't owl before I left or anything, hopefully you weren't in the middle of something important," Nora said with a kind smile, letting out a contented sigh. It was so strange to hug people, she thought. Not because she disliked it, but working out how to do it with her huge tummy was still strange. The baby was kicking a bit, but that was fairly normal for the evening hours; she liked to be active when Nora wasn't running about taking care of things.

"I brought over cookies," she said happily, gesturing with the plate for extra effort. "I was in the mood for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and...well...it happened." Nora shrugged a bit.

"Oh, not at all!" Rosie answered with a smile. "Just a book and a glass of wine. Certainly not anything I won't happily interrupt for you and cookies." She had a bit of a sweet tooth, and would drop nearly anything for chocolate.

"Please, sit down!" she said, gesturing quickly to the sofa and chairs. "Would you like a glass of water or juice?" Those were the options at Rosie's place, if you weren't drinking wine. Limited beverage selection was a hazard of living alone. Rosalie wished she had something else to offer - she'd messed up so horribly when Joy had been pregnant that she was trying to be doubly good this time around.

"Ooh, water would be brill," Nora said happily after she'd sat down in the chair. It felt nice to be sitting. Sitting, in her opinion, was probably the most underrated position in which a person could put himself. When Rosie left the room, Nora found herself subconsciously rubbing her tummy. She was so ready for the little bugger to get out already. She just wanted to hold her already.

Nora carefully placed the plate of cookies down on the coffee table. "What have you been up to lately?" Nora called out curiously, debating whether or not she should get up and join Rosie in the kitchen.
