Frank ftw!
"Oh, that's not obvious at all," Emmeline drawled, but she was smiling soon after and did not bother to look over her shoulder to send a sympathetic look toward Caradoc. Really, it was rather ridiculous, but she did enjoy it when Frank wanted her attention, even if it was mostly to piss off her boyfriend. Now that they both had terribly busy schedules, Emmeline had no idea how she was going to manage to keep up with her favorite cousin, but. There'd always be time for Frank.
And apparently this time was one of those times!
She rapped her fingers against her lips for a moment as if in deep thought, and then laid her hand out, finding her brilliant addition to the conversation, "My internship nearly killed me this week!"
Emmeline's expression wasn't of terror or depression, however. No--she'd gotten all of that out of her system that first night with Caradoc. Okay...and maybe there had been a supplies closet she'd locked herself into during her lunch break on Wednesday, but that was all, everything else had gone rather smoothly.
"I was shadowing a healer from artifacts accidents and this guy came in with a--I kid you not--grand piano around his waist, and he--" Emmeline gestured toward her own stomach, pressing into it, "Pushed me into the wall and I had to start playing some Beethoven to get his attention."
Oh, her expression was that of immense pride, actually.
