What: Narrative!
Where: Undisclosed forest
When: Late tonight
Remus Lupin was far from where he should be.
And long gone; had been for hours, if anyone was to look up to see the position of the moon. It glowed brilliantly, swelling with pride over the fact that it took up the entire night sky.
A werewolf far down below on land gave a loud cry as he fixed on it, the image of it reappearing across his glossed-over eyes.
Yes, the moon was a werewolf’s best friend.
He took a shuttering breath, head finally dropping back to the ground.
But at least he had his other companions.
His head cracked to the left at the sound of a breaking branch on the forest floor, and he did not hold back snapping his teeth toward the large black dog a few feet away from him. Part of the pack or not, he was far too close, and the werewolf snapped again as the dog growled in response.
Ahead, a stag was already standing silently in the clearing, watching the other two shadows with intense interest. As he stalked by, he noticed that the rat was curled up in the stag’s antlers, comfortably hidden from any harm as long as he stayed where he was. A snarl erupted from his lips, but the werewolf gave no interest in them for now.
He needed something to bite.
His eyes glanced around at the little group again, but found nothing appealing. Something new for their new surroundings.
The werewolf raised his head into the air as a strong wind picked up. If it was possible, his jaw would have formed into a twisted smile at the new scent filling his nostrils like a drug.
Mmm, human.
