[Aland!]
Things had been progressing well. Or ... well, Roderick liked to think they were. He'd actually taken Aland to his real home (and not the one he went to when he felt he might've been being followed) and the man had been coming over more and more frequently. Despite the fact that it invaded his personal space, Roderick found that he didn't mind in the least. In fact, he'd started to relax around Aland.

It was a strange thing to think about. He stretched lazily on the couch and lolled his head to the side. Aland looked like he was about to pass out.

"Come on, the holo-film isn't that boring, is it?" Maybe Aland had just had a hard day at work - there was no telling, and Roderick rarely had the mind to ask past superficial things. No need to accidentally slip up to a stranger because he'd been learning too much about the other man. It would make people suspicious if he knew everything about him.

He didn't mind that Aland had been coming over more often and that they didn't talk much. Honestly, he was used to his own company and nobody else's ... but Aland was a refreshing change from that. He felt the fingers on the back of his neck and tilted against them slightly, thoroughly enjoying the kiss. He draped a lazy arm around Aland's shoulders in response, giving him a sidelong glance when he spoke.

"Is that going to be a problem? I mean, you can keep coming over here." He didn't want Aland's visits to wane, really. Roderick knew it would be hard to convince the guy's sister that he was just going out to do some errands or something like that, but he was sure the man could do it without drawing too much attention. He was sure at least that Aland wasn't going to want his sister to know about this sort of thing anymore than he wanted Caradoc or Juliet to find out about it.

Aland shrugged, leaning his head back on Roderick's arm and sighed. He really didn't think it would be, if Vivica had a job, which she didn't. If she did, she could be having stuff to do during the day and people to meet at night and wouldn't much bother him about where he was going and what he was doing and who he was doing these things with. "She's gonna figure out pretty fast that I'm seeing someone, I think. She's ah, pretty good at figuring out when I lie about shit."

He scratched the back of his head with his other hand and sighed, "I don't think it will be a problem, I just think, I don't know. An adjusted schedule maybe. Or I'll just lock her out of my room and apparate or something, but then she'll bother me about spending too much time alone in my room. She really just needs a job and a boyfriend. Keep her occupied. Maybe I can make Rhys find her someone to date, they're kind of close right?" Aland asked Roderick, but wasn't really expecting an answer from the man that had no idea. "I mean, the only reason I don't have Darren tailing the fuck out of me is because he's got Devon and his work and that's well, that keeps him busy. Do you know anyone that's eighteen ish and needing a girlfriend?"

Roderick leaned over and pressed a kiss to Aland's temple with a slight smirk. Yes, he was aware that the other man's sister was going to be nosy and that his best friend seemed kind of weird in that 'I sleep with girls because I'm a big man' sort of way, but he wasn't worried about it. He knew he should be, but he wasn't. "We'll figure something out," was something of an offhand promise.

When he wanted something, really wanted it, there was little that people could do about it. And this ... he wanted. He'd never had a particularly close relationship with anyone, but he liked this. "And no, I don't know anyone eighteen-ish that needs a girlfriend." Just his cousin Caradoc was anywhere near that age and he had his suspicions that he was taken, so.

Aland scrunched his nose, not in reaction to the kiss, but to the promise. He sighed a little, because it didn't make him feel any better not having a plan. He'd definitely have to think on it, some more. Maybe Darren could - no, their parents would probably have a huge fit if Vivica became a consort or whatever Darren was. She just needed a project or something. Because Aland wasn't going to give up this thing with Roderick but he didn't want to lie to his sister a lot. He couldn't do both, really, could he? Keeping Vivica in the dark was going to be a lot harder than Darren.

"What kind of help are you? I need to pimp my sister out and you don't have any suggestions? Merlin," Aland scoffed and rolled his eyes playfully. He really wasn't interested in finding another match like Carrow, and was pretty sure Vivica wasn't going to be up for the whole 'set up by brother' plan. "I think you could be of help elsewhere though, I'm kind of hungry, you should hop up and make me some food." Aland was clearly in a funny mood and up for teasing Roderick.

He knew that Aland wasn't going to lie to his brother. He was trying to avoid having to lie to his cousins and so far it was working rather well. Roderick shrugged and settled around Aland a little more while the man spoke right up until Aland asked him to get up and make something. He felt as if he should make some sort of vulgar joke about satisfying his hunger other ways, but refrained.

He was already aware that he was weird, after all. "Well, you could get her a job -- and do I look like a house elf?" He leaned in and nipped underneath Aland's chin with a slightly cheeky smirk.
