Who: Dorcas Meadows & Caradoc Dearborn
What: Mad public fight
Where: Order house
When: This morning
“She has nothing to do with this.”
“How can she not! She’s the entire reason why all of this happened! There would be nothing wrong if---- you’re telling me that you were completely bias the whole time, practically forced into---”
“Shut up Dorcas,” Caradoc hissed, jerking his arm out of her fingers vehemently. He continued to glare at her, practically burning up in his spot. There was nothing to talk about when it concerned them, and frankly, he didn’t want to hear anything from her, let alone have to look at her face for a few more minutes.
“You have no fucking clue what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, I don’t, do I? That’s certainly not what we decided last---”
“You’re so delusional, you can’t even remember what happened,” he stated coldly, leaning forward slightly to speak in a low, condescending tone. “Unless I’m mistaken, Derek Dobbs is an actual person.” Caradoc turned to walk away from her, but stopped, feigning perking up as if having a sudden epiphany. “That’s why--- you’re upset you don’t have your auror boyfriend anymore.” He paused for a moment, looking at her before speaking in a snobbish tone. “How pathetic.”
Caradoc watched as Dorcas seemed to double in size, her body growing full of air. “Listen to me!” she hissed again, taking another hot step forward. Caradoc clenched his fists together as his elbows locking his arms in place at his sides. His eyes turned into two tight slights for a second, and then a cold laugh filled the room.
“That’s rich,” he spat, his upper lip curling up in disgust as he spoke. Listen? Right, because she had so much to say now that he really couldn’t care less about.
“I’m not ----”
“I don’t want to hear it!” Caradoc roared. He gritted his teeth together, sucking in the most air he could while not trying to breath at the same time. Honestly--- honestly, was she really going to try to bring them up again? That was over, they were so far over, and beyond any form of slight repair she could possibly muster. It had been months, and they had had this fight for what seemed like a hundred times already. Or at least, fought a hundred times only to get to this.
“This is---” he started again, now digging his heals into the ground. “--- ridiculous! Completely---- what makes you think that I would even think about you, or anything that has to do with you in some form of any light after---”
“Dearborn!” Dorcas interrupted again, her voice now edgy. Her hands were at her sides as well, clenched into tight balls has his were. She took a deep breath to continue, but Caradoc quickly interrupted.
“I don’t know why you keep saying my name, do you think that’s going to help you?” he jeered, his jaw now moving to jut out. He watched as her face quickly contorted, growing far tenser than it had been previously.
“You’re so typical! We mess up--- yes, don’t even try to act like you’re the victim here, and you can’t even get over yourself for three seconds to even try to--- fucking---- ” Her arms were crossed over her chest, and had moved from there, to flying into the air and back down to her sides many times during her little speech. Caradoc pretending to be paying little attention, but listened carefully. “I don’t even know why I’m bothering,” her voice glossed over at this point, and Dorcas’ body stood tall and bitter.
“Then don’t,” he scoffed, and then room went silent as the both of them stared at each other. From another part of the house, he heard distinct creaking of floorboards, followed by the dreadful sounds of hushed voices. Fucking great, these idiots had probably been listening to every word the two of them had uttered in the past hour, no doubt.
“Fine,” Dorcas snapped finally, her jaw set so tight that it was impossible to read any emotion on her face. He looked at her, trying desperately to interpret what she was really saying, but came up with nothing.
“Fine,” Caradoc snarled, face so hot he felt as if it was burning. Fine, if that was all she was going to give him--- great.
“GOOD!” He didn’t wait to turn on his heel and storm down the rest of the hall toward the door. But of course everyone and their mother was standing there, somewhere caught between the beginning of the stairs and the front door. “Get the fuck out of my way,” he barked, only taking a hold of Elphias Doge’s shoulder to throw him away into the wall.
