Nora
”Thaaank you Miiister Deeeeenniiiis!”

Jones grinned as the kids waved at him and walked in two lines towards their art class. He was currently sitting on one of the desks that were pushed together in groups of 4, leaning forward with his elbows on his thighs. His hands were laced together in front of him, separating only to give a general 'salute' to her students. “I’ll see you lot outside.” A few of the girls giggled and the boys got excited, slapping high fives before they were all out of the classroom. It was really funny how some of the students didn’t believe that he was really who he said he was until they saw his Jersey and asked him all sorts of questions that 'only the real Jones Dennis would know'. Sure, there were some students in her class who weren’t Puddlemere fans, but they were still interested in seeing a real Quidditch player up close.

When the last student was out of the door, he turned back to Nora, still smiling as he leaned forward. “Quite a class you’ve got there.” Since her feet were already touching the ground since the desk was so short, he was able to stand up quite easily, making his way over to the bulletin board that was nearby, just observing some of the artwork her students had given to her. He actually had to tilt his head to the side to try and make something out, his eyes narrowing as he focused in on the massive grey and red blob that was on the paper. "They seem like good kids." He seemed a little distracted, since he was still trying to figure out what the picture was supposed to be, if it was anything at all.

The end of the school year was always rough on Nora. She always became so attached to her students and it never failed that they were properly trained maybe a month before they would leave her, all that hard work gone. She watched as the last kid shuffled out the door, following the art teacher down the hallway. She had a small smile on her face and was trying to keep herself from tearing up; it was still too early in the year to get all emotional over her students leaving her. "They're amazing kids," she said, walking from desk cluster to desk cluster collecting papers. "Probably the best bunch I've had in the past five years." She always had to wonder what the next group of kids would be like; if they would work well together, if they would be unruly, if she'd be able to handle them as well as in previous years.

After picking up the last bunch of papers and setting them on her desk she slowly made her way to where he stood, looking at the art on the wall. Sometimes they just liked to go crazy with pens and markers and crayons; half the time Nora wasn't quite sure to make of their art either, but she knew that they'd been discussing "Harold the Hinkypunk" recently, so it was more than likely that the student was just drawing what he thought a hinkypunk should look like. "Thank you again for coming out today. They haven't been this excited about anything in ages. Not since our dragon unit where they actually got to see a real dragon in the auditorium."

His hands slipped into his pockets, looking over his shoulder as she began to speak. He stayed quiet for the time, and looked back to the papers, only looking back when he head her footsteps getting closer. The two of them just stared at the pictures before her voice broke the silence, causing him to turn towards her. Her words caused him to smirk, and then laugh a little bit. “Dragons are a hard act to follow. I can’t breathe fire, so I’m glad they weren’t terribly disappointed.” That smile remained on his features as he leaned his shoulder against the wall beside the bulletin board.

His eyes traveled around the room, taking in every detail that had gone unnoticed when he had first arrived. The kids had been so excited about him being there that he barely had time to say hello to Nora before they bombarded him with questions and asked him to sign anything they had with them. He obliged, of course, and did his best at multitasking as he signed his name for the umpteenth time. He was almost positive that he almost signed another teammate’s name when one of the students asked about them, but he corrected it before anyone could notice.

“So, what else do you have planned for these amazing kids of yours when they return from making soap sculptures and macaroni necklaces?”

She smiled, trying to compare the two events now in her mind. "I'm sure you gave the dragon a good run for its money. And if you end up staying until we go outside, you will surpass the dragon in popularity by a landslide." She leaned against a counter behind her, smiling up at him. Her hands rested subconsciously on her tummy as if they served as some protective barrier.

"Well, after they're finished with art, they'll eat a quick lunch and then we go outside to burn off all their excess energy. And then when they get back we'll either go into reading or pre-potions. I've been meaning to teach them how to mix up play doh..." she laughed a bit to herself, still glancing over the art work. "It's not quite like real potions, but it's similar and it helps them recognize the delicate balance of it all at an early age."

Jones let out a light laugh at her comment, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well, I'd be an idiot to leave if me staying means I'd be more popular than a dragon." He gave her a playful wink to let her know that that wasn't really why he was staying. The kids were really happy to have him around, and he didn't want to let them down. Besides, he was having fun! He was a kid at heart, so he fit right in with her class.

"That's actually very clever of you. Kids love play doh, and if it helps them learn how to mix and measure, than it's good that you give them something to make that they'll actually enjoy." He raised the shoulder that wasn't leaning against the wall in a half shrug, now looking back to the art work that she was looking at. "So...what are these, exactly?"

Of course he was having fun! Nora's kids were always so eager to meet new people and explore and just let loose. "Hmm, they do like play doh, don't they?" She grinned, thining about how (hopefully) the kids would have fun with it in the afternoon.

She laughed as she realized that Jones wouldn't know what the kids had drawn, would he? "Well, there's this children's story called 'Harold the Hinkypunk' and we'd just finished reading it at the beginning of the week, so I had them draw their favorite part of the story," she explained, giving a quick glance over all the pictures hanging up.
