It wouldn't have been a problem, persay, but Amaryllis and Belise in the same hose for too long was definitely disastrous. It was a nice change of pace to be out and together as opposed to out and ... uncle and niece as they usually were. Jude was quite sure that some of his friends had their suspicions, of course, but they were suitably impressed or thought they'd be in the red if they said something that turned out to be eventually untrue.
