Braith Selwyn ([info]braith) wrote in [info]valesco,
Braith Selwyn really wasn't in this for the fighting. In fact, he rather hated the fact that he had to kill innocent people and he tried to keep out of it for the most part, but Merlin knew how suspicious that would look, especially with blokes like Wilkes and bints like Lestrange who had eyes in the bloody backs of their heads. He'd been tampering with some of his own hexes so that they'd at least look deadly when they were in fact far less life-threatening, but he knew that he'd only be able to use each one once or twice.

His life was complicated, he'd be the first to admit that, but his need to keep to family tradition was stronger than his desire to be a 'good person' when it came down to it. And then -- fucking hell, someone was blocking his path. He shot a glance over his shoulder to see just what stupid Auror it had been and -- oh, he knew that face -- it was Doge. Suddenly the mask was a damned blessing, although he felt that way whenever he saw any Auror. He kept his head down in the halls for days after fights like this. He drew in a breath and cast a stunning spell as he turned 'round.
