He let out something in between a scream and a big gasp of air. Louis was left choking as Adian shook any lasting sleep out of him and he pushed himself up into his headboard. It felt like he had been jolted awake by a banshee, his heart was definitely racing as if he'd just survived an attack.
"What, what!" he shouted along with Adian, eyes wide though his vision still blurry. The light from the hallway was nearly blinding and he pressed the back of his hands to his eye lids to help with the pain. When he finally risked opening his eyes and Adian finally released him, Louis slumped against his pillows and looked at his insane friend. He blinked a few times, then cocked his head.
"Did you just get in?" Louis asked, voice still scratchy with sleep. Where had Adian gone last night that would have kept him---Louis' eyes widened and he sat up straighter. He pointed a stiff finger at Adian, jaw dropping, "Did you just get in?!"
