"Whoa," Nora let out in a bit of confusion and excitement. She put her hands on Delilah's shoulders for a moment in an attempt to steady her friend. After a few breaths, she put her hands up as if shouting surprise. "Congrats! Congrats on the sex?"
She grinned and chuffed Delilah in the arm. This was a barrier that Delilah had set up for herself for reasons Nora could understand. She wanted a serious relationship based on friendship and not solely on sex. Which was fine, for the first few dates, perhaps even months. Nora wasn't quick to jump into bed with blokes she was seeing, but she surely wasn't as slow as Delilah had been with Matt. Matt, who had such a pretty face.
"I'm actually impressed you managed this long," Nora said with a quick nod, pushing the image of the rather fit Hufflepuff out of her head. She needed to get some action before she started fantasizing about her best friend's boyfriend. Nora was about ready to ask for details, but then the second part of Delilah's blurt came to mind; maybe she'd been blinded by the shocker that was all the sex that was being had.
"Wait, wait," Nora said, putting her hand up. She eyed Delilah carefully; she knew her friend pretty well and was now plenty concerned. "You told him before, after, or during? It makes a big difference---didn't you already write him a love note?"
