galvin g. gudgeon ([info]galvinized) wrote in [info]valesco,
She had not smacked him or sent him out the room. This was good. Vinny felt himself getting more and more excited in a few different ways, but he had to stay focused. This was about Gleny, not him. As much as his body ached for it to be about him, he knew it wasn't. This could lead to a big step for the both of them, but Vinny had been with other people since Marlie had been killed. Whether it was out of anger, from loneliness, or actually liking a person, he'd still moved past that wall.

He didn't want to assume, but Gleny had been married, not simply engaged. She had a child, and Vinny had no recollection of any bloke that may have been worthy of her in that way during these past four years.

This was a big deal.

His hold around her didn't tighten, but Vinny kept close. She had to know that she meant the world to him, right? That whether or not their night ended the same way it always did wouldn't change that. Vinny smiled, tilting his head side to side in a mischievous manner.

"I'd make it worth it," he said, eyes bright.
