Seth grinned as he held his arm out to lead Savannah out to the dance floor. They fell easily into place as they swayed to the tune. One dance turned into two, then two into four and somewhere along the line Seth had completely lost track of the time and it was nearing the end of the evening.
As the music to the the last song faded, stepped back just a touch, tucking a stray bit of hair behind Savannah's ear. How had he forgotten what this was like. The past few hours had been just as they were back before. Before Montrose, before Leanne, before he fell out of love with her.
But in this exact moment, Seth wasn't entirely sure that he had, because those feelings were certainly rushing back to him now that the space they had so carefully kept between the two of them was shrinking. Maybe he didn't fall out of love at all, and things had just gotten hard once the honeymoon phase faded. And Seth avoided anything that required real work like the plague up until recently.
Once the hair was securely behind her ear, Seth trailed his hand under her chin tilting it up slightly to make it easier for him to steal a soft kiss. He couldn't help himself, he had to know if that would also feel like it once did.
Pulling back, Seth tried to decipher the shocked look on her face. He should say something. Apologize for invading her space, being too forward? Anything but just stand there staring back. "I would apologize, but I'm trying to avoid lying these days."
