Grail!
Devon owed her---a lot. A lot of something. Scarlett wasn't sure what that something was, but it was going to be good, there was going to be a lot of it, and it was going to make her friend miserable. Though, really, the glee that Devon had portrayed when Scarlett walked out of the bathroom in the outfit that had been picked out (by, guess who?) would be truly hard to destroy. Scarlett would admit that she did feel rather elegant, but she couldn't enjoy the sensation as she was currently at the top of the staircase that led to the ballroom that she had no desire to go in.

She knew what her date looked like, she remembered fleeting things about Grail from Devon's stories and small encounters, but---Scarlett didn't look at men in that fashion, not normally, and not if they paid her no mind. Darren's friends were rather oblivious to the on goings of the females in Devon's circle, so it would not be surprising if Grail had no idea what she looked like.

That would be good, if he simply walked by her. She would let him, because then she could leave the party and hide out at her parents' house, because Scarlett was sure that Devon had hexed her door to remain locked until at least midnight. Scarlett let out a breath, hoping that she would be ditched, because she was sure she would enjoy that more than the awkward night that would probably occur.
