She wouldn't say she was ignoring their loss to the Kestrels, but more of... choosing to not think about it. What else could you really do to help ease the sting of yet another added failure to the pile the Catapults had created with their abysmal losing streak? This season had been horrible, and it was to say the least that Rose was looking forward to the relief that came with an off week. Maybe it could help rejuvenate some morale, help make a fresh start. That was actually possible, and maybe with a last-ditch trade before the deadline this weekend, it was entirely conceivable that they could come back for the second half of the season.

Rose immediately slammed her locker shut, feeling guilty for entertaining such a brutal thought; she wasn't exactly supposed to want for one of her teammates to get traded, was she? But, it was entirely too easy to, knowing that the main reason for the team's perpetual losing had a bit to do with a lack of snitch-catching action.

But there was nothing that could be done about it now. All she could do was head home and prepare for the remaining week's practices, perhaps paint another room in her house, or---

A loud crash interrupted Rose's thoughts, and with a preserving curiosity, she popped her head to catch what had created the noise. Her brow furrowed slightly as she squinted her eyes. She would have sworn she had been the only one in here, having taken the time after practice to organize her belongings in her locker, which had become quite messy.

Another crash, though this one a bit less violent, pulled Rose forward. Walking toward where she thought the noise had originated, with wand in hand, she moved slowly in case... well... she supposed they hadn't had any strange break-ins by unwanted guests, but Rose had heard of it happening at other stadiums, so it would be not smart to approach a situation unarmed. Almost slipping by the captain's office, something caught her eye that made her arm drop and her back straighten like a board.

"What are you doing?" Rose demanded of the poorly hidden Charlie Spinnet. She peered through the doorway, unwilling to get much closer than she already was. Why was Charlie Spinnet in Caerphilly?

If he just ignored her, she would go away.

Charlie squinted his eyes as if trying to force a spell of invisibility to fall over him and disappear out of Rose Knightley's gaze, but seeing as she was the most annoying person on the face of the planet, she did not simply let him be. Charlie's hand, which had been resting at his side, slide the rather harmless, but quite disruptive firecracker that he had been ready to plant at the entrance of the Catapult's media room. Wouldn't it have been amazing to have the whole room really go beserk in the middle of the team attempting to explain why they were performing so poorly this season?

Not that the Kestrels were doing much better. They were all top caliber players, but together? Charlie felt like there was still some sort of rift. MacFarlan and Axe got along splendidly, and Charlie enjoyed his new seeker's presence, and of course the -Oey pair liked each other, but that perfect chemistry that the team had shared a mere two seasons ago was nowhere to be found. Charlie had taken Zoey's idea to begin pranking other teams as a way of bringing up morale and team spirit. Something good and happy to share.

So of course Rose was here to destroy the good and happy stuff. Charlie had never disliked a person as much as he did Rose Knightley, even if his best friend (the one she had cheated on with the person Octavius hated the most in the world) seemed to be moving on with his life. Charlie was loyal to a fault and well, he'd never been told to not think Rose was a miserable human being, so.

"Is this not the visitor's lounge? Huh." Charlie shrugged, putting up his now empty hands in an innocent manner, "My mistake."

Her eyes slitted, and Rose felt her lips purse in an annoyed manner. Did he think she was that blind? Charlie had slipped something off to the side with his hand, or at least Rose had noticed the subtle motion, so taking that into consideration with his frankly suspicious presence, her mind couldn't help but jump to the worst. What that might be, exactly, she had no idea. Rose couldn't begin to even think up of a legitimate reason, let alone excuse, as to why Charlie Spinnet would be found huddling within Caerphilly pitch, but she was sure it didn't mean anything good.

"No," she responded tightly, gaze still very much locked on him. She clenched her wand firmly as she leaned forward, peering in further into the room.

As Rose scanned for something that looked out of the ordinary, her thoughts wandered to how uncomfortable this exchange really should be. It was no secret (well, apparently to the public it was) how much Charlie and Rose did not get along, and Rose had found herself never quite disliking anyone else as much as she disliked Charlie Spinnet. She supposed if the circumstances had been different, or if they were completely different people... no, she quickly decided as her gaze caught something that looked suspiciously like a firecracker. No, they would never be friends.

"Who exactly are you looking for?" Rose asked plainly, eyes dragging back toward the Keeper. She would not bring up the Kestrel's gift, not yet at least. Perhaps it was a bit of determined vindictiveness that wanted to see Charlie Spinnet attempt a bit of quick thinking. Merlin knew that would prove to be a challenge for him.

She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him expectantly.

He blinked, wondering if he should even bother trying to talk to her because she of all people did not deserve answers or his conversation in any way, but Charlie figured that since he was in enemy territory, he should probably play nice before he got burned. Charlie scratched the back of his head, not attempting to hide how annoyed he felt to be in Rose's presence.

"Brand and I won some Witch Weekly contest," he said with a roll of his eyes. "And since our visitor's lounge is getting a remodel, they wanted us here, so..."

Charlie looked at her expectantly as he took a few steps forward to make his escape. He could tell that she was not going to let him go by her without a fight, but if he could just quickly make it past then he had a chance. "If you'll excuse me."

Pressing her lips together, Rose held her expectant and discontented gaze. She didn't believe that story for a second-- if that were true, wouldn't Geoff be here? Wouldn't the press be here? The pitch was empty, relatively. She supposed it wouldn't be uncharacteristic for Charlie to have gotten the wrong location, or with how Geoff had been acting lately for him to simply not show up, but--- no, no! She had seen the firecracker, it was still there, sitting half concealed behind a bench. Whether Charlie's excuse was true or not that did not make up for the mischief he was obviously brewing now.

She could brew trouble too, you know.

Quickly forming an idea, Rose allowed Charlie to pass by her. She had nothing to say to him, nor frankly wished for him to be here any longer. But, that didn't mean he had to leave empty handed. Turning back, Rose wasted little time in levitating the firecracker from its hiding place and shooting it toward Charlie Spinnet's retreating form. She should hit him with it for all he deserved, but instead, Rose with a flick of her wrist jammed it into the back of his trousers. It stuck out like an uncomfortable-looking tail, and for that Rose's lips formed into a pleased grin.

She thought about commenting to him about forgetting something, or of the like, but she didn't want to be too antagonist just yet, she supposed.
