Hogsmeade Quidditch Weekend! Open to All!
Charlie was literally bouncing around like a school kid. How was he so keen on the ways of excited, shriek-filled Hogwarts students? Why, he was surrounded by a gaggle of them! Bouncing, the lot of them, and all donned in red and gold! It was a beautiful sight, really, and it made the slightly overcast day seem bright and sunny and warm. He wanted to hug each and every one of those kids, so he did and it was a good feeling to be recognized as some 'Gryffindor Hero!' A Gryffindor Hero! Legend, some were saying. Some teeny, tiny voice in the back of Charlie's head knew that legend, even hero was pushing it a bit far, but he would happily accept the compliments because they made him feel damn special.

He hadn't been much of a standout in school, popular enough not to lurk around the corridors without anyone noticing you were there, but he was no quidditch captain or head boy. He was just Charlie, and even if his quidditch fame and popularity had skyrocketed these past few years, he was still very much in awe of the fact that people could be impressed by him.

"All right, all right!" he laughed, prying off the clamped fingers of a young third year girl's off his arm. "I'll be back, I promise!"

There was a chorus of moans, but soon the group had spotted yet another player to lay their tremendous excitement and focus on, and Charlie was free. He bounded down the pavement, Gryffindor scarf proudly flapping in the wind behind him, and dropped down onto a wooden bench beside his very Hufflepuff-y girlfriend.

"The kids," he said, waving his hand out toward the crowd before dropping it down onto the back of the bench behind Penelope, "They dig me."

Henry!

It could never be said that Delilah Spinnet didn't love her brother. Ever. Because it took an incredible amount of it for her to sit though a twelve hour quidditch match. And it wasn't even over yet. Granted, it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement. She was all decked out in Gryffindor colors that she really hadn't worn in years, going as far as coloring strands of her hair red and gold for the day, but there was a limit. Delilah had taken her own breaks constantly through out hours four through nine literally unable to sit still long enough to care. If she missed the catching of the snitch, she was sure someone would be more than happy to recount the events for her. Charlie would never know.

When the 'official' break was announced, Delilah was out of her seat in seconds promising Nora she would not take the opportunity to disappear for good. Just enough time make it to Hogsmeade for a drink. It was nice being back at Hogwarts. It certainly helped her drab mood for her to pretend, at least for the weekend, she was still back in school when things were simpler. Something about Hogwarts that made her forget about everything outside the grounds.

She couldn't help the slightly mischievous grin that formed when she spotted a familiar face in the crowd. Now it certainly felt like she was back in school, and 1975 was a really good year. She hadn't seen Henry since before Istanbul. She had been meaning to talk to him ever since she got back on her feet, but the time never seemed right. She never knew how to deal with delicate situations, always being far to loud and brash. Instead she sent flowers and dealt with his assistant with very few complaints (well until she was told she couldn't duel, but that was just a very bad week).

It wouldn't be awkward to talk to him now. Not here in Hogsmeade, with a very aggressive Slytherin versus Gryffindor match going on. Maybe Henry wouldn't mind also pretending it was still 1975 for a day. Not even bothering to ask, Delilah settled herself into the empty seat next to Henry. "Trade scarves with you. You don't have nearly enough of the right colors on." She teased lightly.

It would be the magnitude of a highly promoted Slytherin versus Gryffindor match that would get Henry Wadcock willingly out to a public event. His brother wasn't even playing, and he still couldn't resist going to watch the match. Plus, it was a good opportunity to make sure that his clients were properly using this time to boost up their image, show some school pride. It never hurt to remember your roots. The game was grueling, long, and frustrating, and this break was definitely necessary.

Henry had found a spot where Seth and his cronies wouldn't bother him. He was still a bit on edge with his brother, but putting on the school colors seemed to revert the two of them back to their Hogwarts days and now it would just be better for all of those visiting Hogsmeade today that the Wadcock brothers were not within five feet of each other.

He tilted his head up slowly at the voice, and managed a smirk. He had not seen Delilah in some time, even though, as her agent, he kept tabs of what she was doing (and where she was, country-wise).

"I could never. Green brings out my eyes," he said, pushing the chair at his table out with his foot.

"If green brings out your eyes imagine the wonders gold would do... except that's not true at all. I remember, you just can't pull off Gyrffindor colors. Shame, but you at least you look very handsome in the losing team's colors."

Playing with the fridge of her scarf, Delilah watched the people moving along the street, sighing when she realized that she would soon have to go back to the stands. These games were so much more fun when she was dating Henry and he was playing. Two teams to root for, never lost really. Plus the bonus of getting Charlie all riled up, nothing would ever top the time he spotted her sporting a Slytherin scarf to a game (versus Ravenclaw, she didn't have a death wish, but apparently it was a very important game in the grand scheme of things and it was many levels of wrong for her to root for them).

Getting bored with the crowd, she rested her chin in her hand and turned her attention to Henry. There were moments when Delilah caught herself spending an inappropriate amount of time reminiscing about their time together. Which was beyond pointless. Most days they barely worked as friends, let alone more. That being said, Henry had been her longest lasting relationship, ever. And now, she considered him to be a dear friend even though she spent at least half of seventh year wanting to strangle him. Her relationship with Henry worked when it shouldn't have, and maybe if she could figure out why then she would figure out why her relationships didn't work when they should.

She blinked quickly realizing that silence had stretched a bit too long and she'd been caught staring. "Betcha Gryffindor wins," she said pushing away here earlier thoughts and covering with the easy topic in front of them. "And since our standard school day's wager is now highly inappropriate, I say if Gryffindor wins you let me go to the duel next week."

Henry's eyes had dropped down to the table at her initial compliment, so he had no idea that Delilah had been staring. It felt strange to hear himself be called handsome, even though it was common place for Delilah to make inappropriate comments. Their whole relationship seemed to be an inappropriate comment, and she had not stopped with the friendly, teasing flirting even when he was seeing someone, when he had been engaged. So why it now was embarrassing and strange to hear, he wasn't sure. All he knew was that it kept his eyes down cast until she wagered her bet.

His gaze rose to meet hers, eyebrows high. Now, now. Slytherin was full of quidditch women who didn't get to represent their team in school and now had a second chance at showing the rather elitist House was was clearly the best. Did she really think that the likes of Mullet, Troy, and Boot were going to allow some mangy Gryffindors to win?

Henry kept the trash talk to himself, slowly stirring the straw in his glass. "There's really nothing in it for me if you duel next week when you're not completely healed. Quite the opposite, actually."

He mused silently, knowing that now that the idea of a bet was on the table, Delilah was not going to let it drop.

"How are your baby sitting skills?"

Who cared if there was anything in it for him if she dueled. That was the whole point of a wager. To get something you wanted the other person wasn't willing to give up. And Delilah desperately wanted to get back to dueling. To do anything, really, other than wander around bored out of her mind. Delilah huffed, Henry was going to be boring too. Well it did always take a bit of wheedling to get him to agree.

She sat up sharply as Henry continued on. She almost wanted to look behind her to see if there was someone else he was talking to. Yes, she has successfully watched Alicia on multiple occasions, and on the rare occasion the day was ending in tears, they were usually hers. "I don't have a baby for you to watch." She said dumbly, because there was no way Henry was suggesting that she watch Bran if Gryffindor lost. Her heart raced slightly just at the thought he would trust her with his son. It really meant a lot to her, even if it was a crazy idea.

She could do it though. She would probably do it without a bet, if Henry asked. Surely she couldn't be any worse than his brother. If Seth Wadcock could raise a child relatively unharmed, she could manage watching one for a few hours. Her competitive streak flaring up, she recovered. "I mean Alicia doesn't seem to mind when she gets to spend a day with me, but what's in it for me, are you gonna let me duel? This is the more important end after all," she teased. "Without you playing there is no reason for Gryffindor to lose."

He was glad that she didn't question his motives and let out a metaphorical breath. Henry, while managing to get himself out into the world of work and, like today, somewhat socially, was not handling the transition of single parenthood quite well. Or at all. With the season underway next week, Henry could hardly ask his brother to watch Brandon, and while his mother said she would take his son whenever he wished, he knew that her poignant stares were soon going to turn into lectures about how Henry needed to make his son a priority.

Bran made him---there were moments when all he wanted was to feel his son's soft breaths on his neck as he rocked him to sleep, times when the sound of the baby's laughter made his heart swell with an indescribable joy. But then there were instances when a flash of a smile from Bran shocked Henry, his smile was Heidi's, his eyes crinkled in the same manner. One smile would cause him to crumble again and he couldn't even bear to look at him.

So---he was being selfish, and a terrible father, but Delilah didn't need to know that. Henry waved a lofty hand, "It'll be good, I promise. When have I ever let you down?"

Delilah hummed, a small smile gracing her lips. He may not have meant it in such a serious way, but when she actually thought about it, Delilah couldn't think of a time when he did. Not when it counted. Something about the thought made her feel --fluttery. She wasn't quite sure she like the feeling at all.

"Well," She started ignoring the weird, "are we counting the time you refused to sneak out of the castle to go for a midnight swim with me? Because that was a pretty big let down. I don't know if I told you at the time, but it was." She did her best to keep a straight face, maybe even pout a little, but it didn't last long before her lips started to curl up.

Generally a bad idea to make a wager only knowing what would happen if you lost, but what was the worst that could happen? Funny how one of the people she trusted most was a Slytherin. She was sure there was some not so secret Gryffindor rule that this was not allowed. "I suppose I'll accept your vague terms despite this."
