He decided immediately that this mystery woman was much prettier when she smiled, though when she admitted to being difficult, or more specifically the possibility that she may have been being difficult, he couldn’t help but smile back at her. “Hadn’t noticed.” When she extended her hand out to him, he once again shifted the box of taffy to free one of his own, reaching forward to give it a good shake.
“Otto.” He replied, though her congratulatory words got him smiling again, though it was more than just house pride that had him beaming. It was definitely not something he had expected, seeing how she was a Slytherin, and they usually looked down their noses at anyone who wasn’t placed in their house…especially Hufflepuffs.
“Yeah, it was a good game. People always underestimate the badgers.” Otto had this way of showing that he was proud of the team without gloating too much about it.
“I heard that the Slytherin-Gryffindor game was a close call. I didn’t get the chance to watch the whole thing, but I sat in for an hour or two before I went to go and find my brother.” He didn’t bother mention that he had been playing, since it always seemed like one of those things to tell people just because you were trying to impress them with the fact that you were related to a professional Quidditch player. To him, Ludo would always be his annoying little brother – he loved the kid, but some things would never change, no matter how big and famous he got.
