Otto Bagman ([info]ottothisworld) wrote in [info]valesco,
Otto had spent a great deal of time debating on whether he was going to travel to Hogsmeade, since he always got a little (okay, a lot) nostalgic about when he had been back in school. He had lost so many of his closest friends to the war, and he had become much more withdrawn since then - not in the sense that he never wanted to see anyone, because he was too much of a people person to become a complete hermit, but people didn't really see nearly as much of him as they used to. He got to see people at Quidditch events whenever he went to support Ludo, but he hadn't really had much in the way of a social life. It was becoming depressing, and the best way to ignore the fact that he was becoming the lamest 25 year old in the entire wizarding world was obviously to eat candy.

Who said chicks were the only ones who were able to ease their woes with an abundance of sweets?

It was what had made him wander over to Honeydukes, his eyes lighting up as he saw that there was one one box left of what he really wanted. He looked, with every pun intended, like a kid in a candy store as he held onto the box, about to turn and go pay for it when he heard someone speaking about the taffy. He had to assume they were talking to him, since he had gotten the last box and all (he was still so proud of himself - it was the little things in life), though when he turned and focused in on the woman who had made the comment, he felt the corners of his mouth turn upwards into an impish little smile.

"What, these old things?" He asked with a lift of one of his brows. She was pretty - very pretty, if he had to be honest.
