Dear Charles,
I'll spare you the formalities and be straight to my point: I'm worried about your sister. Make no mistake, I would be overjoyed if she were to ever see me again, but that isn't my reason for writing to you. I'm writing because when we last parted, she was in tears caused by her own words and honestly, I can't begin to explain how terribly upsetting it was to see her in such distress. Knowing Delilah, she will try to soldier on and not speak of this to you, but I believe she needs her brother, now more than ever. She needs someone who she not only trusts, but someone who can speak their mind and talk her down from her anxieties without her recoiling like she did when I attempted to comfort her.
Delilah was my world and I daresay, I'll never be the same now that she's gone. My hope is that someone, perhaps you, will be able to get through to her. She's not in the best of spirits nor in a mindset that I'd consider sound. Please, help her in any way that you can and see fit.
Thank you and you have my blessing.
Sincerely,
Richard House
P.S. Sorry about the charm, but I would be aghast if this owl was intercepted by the Snitch.
