Caden Flint ([info]silex) wrote in [info]valesco,
Normally Caden wouldn’t be stopping by the studio without any warning at all. Actually, come to think of it, he wasn’t sure if he had ever stopped by without letting her know first. With that being said, it was expected for her to be surprised when she turned around and spotted him standing there instead of who she had thought she would come face to face with once she was done spinning around. He was always amazed at the way dancers were able to turn around so quickly on their feet. He was always flipping around in the air, but he was also on a broom and didn’t have to worry about his balance so much as keeping his grip and focusing on a point so he didn’t get dizzy and fall off the damn thing. Estella amazed him with some of the things he had seen her do on stage, but even without knowing the first thing about ballet, he could tell something was off about whatever she was trying to do, and that she was getting increasingly frustrated about it.

He lifted a hand in order to remove the sunglasses he had worn coming into the studio, clipping them to the front of his shirt, his brows lifting slightly when she finally turned to notice him, though they quickly furrowed together once he took in her appearance. It had nothing to do with the fact that she didn’t look her best, because he had seen her at her worst – they were married, he was used to seeing her walk around the house with her hair a mess, not a touch of makeup on – but she just didn’t look well. He chocked it up to her being flushed, and tried not to worry about it too much, though given the circumstances of why he had shown up without any warning, he was a little cautious to say the least.

“Hi.” He said, offering her a small smirk as he took a few steps towards her. “Sorry to just show up like this, but I couldn’t get through to the studio any other way. Wanted to let you know the kids are with Jolene - I asked her to pick them up a little while ago, their sitter fell ill.” He stopped when he was a few feet from her, his hand lifting up to rest against the same bar she was using for support. He took a long, hard look at her, his brows furrowing again.

“You alright, love?”
