Her eyes snapped open, and even though she continued to let Seth kiss her, Mira did everything else in her power to stop it. She put her hands to his chest to resist him, leaned back as he pushed forward, thinking rather maliciously that it was her bloody party which meant she was, technically, always working, and she closed her mouth to not let him advance any further.
"We had too many problems for you to be asking all this of me," Mira spat, roughly removing his hands from her sides. And at least, she felt that was true. Fundamental, different views of their relationship differences, and she just... couldn't overlook them if he was going to stipulate the night going any further with them.
"I can't just--" she fell back, to at the very least keep him an arm's length. "You can't just ask me to start a relationship with you again just because you miss me." Mira shook her head. No, no, they had broken up for a reason, he had broken up with her for a reason, and it seemed evident that nothing had changed on his part, and she knew nothing had changed her mind, either.
"How do I know you've changed? How do you know I've changed?" As she spoke, her voice got heated, and her hands balled into fists. "You don't. So if you can't just let this happen now without only thinking about tomorrow then---" Mira threw up her hands, thinking it a no better way to express what she was saying.
"I still can't move in with you, I'm not going to stop talking to every single wizard in all of Great Britain just because you don't like them---" she began to tick points off with her finger, but suddenly gave up in a fit. Why was she even bothering? Mira shook her head fiercely, and threw her hands down to her sides before rounding to attempt at disappearing in the dissipating crowd.
