POSTED FOR SATURDAY~ Sinners & Saints Ghost Train!

As the country side rushed by outside the window, Dianna could feel her pride grow with each passing second. She wasn't one to admit that she bragged about her achievements, but it would be a lie to think that she was not going to be boasting at how overwhelmingly amazing this event had turned out to be. The turn out had been far more than anticipated, the musicians that varied through every other cart were fantastic and livening up the mood---there were even ghosts of old conductors and passengers floating through the carts and having the time of their after-lives scaring the guests.

It was to be a fun, fantastic, frightful night. Dianna was beside herself with excitement, and she tugged her skirt down a bit and went on a search for a friendly face to interact with. Merlin, she'd really out done herself this time, she thought amusing as a cart-wide sized cobweb magically unspun to let her pass.

Dianna flipped a golden curl over her shoulder, smirking greatly. She was so brilliant.

Gaspard wanted to die.

Attending the train party started as a whim. Gaspard had told Henry of his run-in with Delilah Spinnet at St. Mungo's and how it had rekindled his hopeless romantic side from Hogwarts. Henry thought Delilah would likely be at the party and really, that's all it took to convince Gaspard to buy a ticket. Then he'd been told he was expected to wear a costume and after a torturous afternoon of attempting to model all sorts of unsavory wardrobe pieces, he'd simply gone to a Muggle store and bought what the clerk told him was most popular. How on earth bright red and blue were popular was beyond Gaspard, but he'd put on the costume, affixed his kit bag around his waist, gotten his hopes up about Delilah, and gone to the party.

There certainly was not a single person who would or could argue that Gaspard was a sociable person. Crowds made him anxious and all the noise unnerved him, but he was willing to tolerate it all just to see Delilah. If he could speak words to her that weren't mumbling rush of an apology for knocking her down, maybe he stood a chance of being able to ask her if she would like a drink or even dance. Merlin help him if she wanted to dance. He didn't even know how to walk properly, how was he to dance?

...Merlin's beard! There she was! Look at how beautiful and graceful and...how happy she looks when she kisses that bloke. The bloke who looked like he could crush Gaspard in his fist. The one who was holding her hand. Delilah had a date? Yes. She had a date. Of course. She was amazing and stupendous and deserving of dates -- not the fruit, but the big strapping bloke kind. How stupid would you have to be to think she wouldn't have a date? Really just...utterly unintelligent.

Having turned a rather pale color, Gaspard backpedaled and spun to get away to a place where he didn't have to see the couple. He nearly crashed into a waiter and stumbled sideways to nearly clobber another bystander, but he then caught his feet and headed out of the car into the next. Once the doors closed and he was no longer in the same car as Delilah, he paused and gripped the edge of a seat for support. He felt heavy and he felt weak, and his heart pulsing fast as his head throbbed with racing thoughts. Suddenly hyper aware and suspicious of those around him, Gaspard kept his head down and told himself the laughter and carousing wasn't directed at him. He then slowly made his way forward until he found an empty seat, which he took swiftly before sinking down to hopefully hide.

Ann certainly wasn't expecting anyone to sit down across from her, so when the bloke sat down it startled her a little bit. She studied him briefly, wondering what had him looking so glum before coughing lightly. He looked familiar; it must have been someone from Hogwarts--someone in her year? She couldn't be sure.

"Everything okay?" she asked cautiously, still trying to watch him and see if there was any way to pinpoint what had him sinking into his seat. The noise around them wasn't extreme, but it was enough to where she needed to lean in to hear him properly.
