Axe's Anniversary of Birth!!!!
Charlie was pretty sure he'd missed out on a wonderful career as a party planner. As he stared out at the dance floor, which he stood over on a platform where the DJ was spinning a mix of wizard and muggle music (even with some popular French songs that were actually pretty catchy if Charlie said so himself). He wasn't surprised at how many people showed up, but it still nearly startling to see how bloody happy everyone was to be there! Sure, some looked ridiculous with the fake mustaches that were passed out (not required, obviously), but a lot had actually grown out their beards and it was----cool, they tried, they wanted to be there and they wanted to have a good time. Charlie wanted to have a good time.

The Kestrels were not top of the pack, and while he believed in his team completely, the stress of the numbers had been getting to them. A night like this was necessary, and maybe it could rejuvenate the team that had lost some valuable members this season and had done a bit of shifting around. They were still trying to get themselves into place, and it needed to happen faster than it was.

Plus, Axe had been pissy all week that no one had acknowledged the anniversary of his birth.

Charlie grabbed the mic from the DJ and grinned, enjoying colorful scene laid out in front of him. funkybuddha club had been a perfect choice for the night, "Don't everyone tire themselves out! There's still a lot more festivites to look forward to!"

Joy was having entirely too much fun at this party. It wasn't often that she found herself not chin deep in motherly duties. Finn had told her to have fun. So what was she doing? Insanely fun things like getting smashed and dancing with anyone (gender of no consequence) who would have her. She danced so much that she'd lost her shoes and purse at some point (Finn was supposed to be guarding them) so she could keep dancing and not fall or worry about silly things like blisters.

As soon as the music slowed for a song set, though, Joy pouted and pulled a face at the sight of all the dancers pairing off. "Couples," she said with an air of disgust before spinning around and looking for her husband. As soon as she spotted him, Joy was off, full speed, and tossing herself at him.

"Phi-ne-as!" she whined loudly before pushing out her bottom lip. She knew she was being obnoxious, but she didn't care. "I want a dance with you," she added as she twisted in-place, on her toes, and smiled at him.

Finn did not dance and had been standing beside Caden for most of the night, by the bar, nursing the same drink for about an hour or two. He had let Joy off to have her fun, because Lord knew they both needed to get out, but his main priority was to make sure that the United men were out of the club and home by eleven. If some party for a player he didn't really care for was going to mess up their weekend and their title shot, Finn was going to be one pissed off captain.

Still, with his curfew in place, he was having a good time. No one even seemed to be acknowledging who the party was actually for, and while he was prone to hate the Kestrels and everything about them, who was he too deny himself and his wife a good, free time with the people who actually liked the most?

Joy appeared from seemingly nowhere, like a rocket. He grinned at her little display and mimicked her with a bit of a twist of his own, minus the tip-toes. It made him happy to see her this way, and it reminded him of their days before the kids...

...which was literally like one day, but still.

"I don't know if you can keep up," he said, his arm going around her waist to pull her inappropriately close for such a public place.
