Axe's Anniversary of Birth!!!!
Charlie was pretty sure he'd missed out on a wonderful career as a party planner. As he stared out at the dance floor, which he stood over on a platform where the DJ was spinning a mix of wizard and muggle music (even with some popular French songs that were actually pretty catchy if Charlie said so himself). He wasn't surprised at how many people showed up, but it still nearly startling to see how bloody happy everyone was to be there! Sure, some looked ridiculous with the fake mustaches that were passed out (not required, obviously), but a lot had actually grown out their beards and it was----cool, they tried, they wanted to be there and they wanted to have a good time. Charlie wanted to have a good time.

The Kestrels were not top of the pack, and while he believed in his team completely, the stress of the numbers had been getting to them. A night like this was necessary, and maybe it could rejuvenate the team that had lost some valuable members this season and had done a bit of shifting around. They were still trying to get themselves into place, and it needed to happen faster than it was.

Plus, Axe had been pissy all week that no one had acknowledged the anniversary of his birth.

Charlie grabbed the mic from the DJ and grinned, enjoying colorful scene laid out in front of him. funkybuddha club had been a perfect choice for the night, "Don't everyone tire themselves out! There's still a lot more festivites to look forward to!"

Delilah let him pull her hand away from her face and chanced looking up at his. Rich was a nice name, she liked it and thought she could remember that. Then he kept talking and Delilah got confused again.

"Wait, shh. Why wouldn't I want to dance? That's just silly. Do you not own a mirror? Have you not seen your face?" She asked unable to keep her hand reaching up to cup his cheek.

Oh that sounded incredibly shallow. This is why she shouldn't drink, she said and did everything thought more than when she was sober. "Not that that's the most important thing, you are a spectacular snog too. Also not most important but certainly helpful."

Delilah pull his face to hers for a slow kiss because she was talking far far to much. "The point is, the very last thing I want is for you to leave. And and, you should enjoy your self too. It's not just about me okay."

She brought her hand down off his face to toy with his collar. "So if you'd like, I would very much like going back to snogging now, and then later, perhaps we can talk because I am certain you have to be more than just a pretty face. Or we can talk now and snog later. But honestly right now I am probably not the best conversationalist and I'm rambling again. I do that when I've been drinking. Actually I do that always but its worse when I have been. Why haven't you made me stop talking yet?" It was a very valid question. She drew a breath ready to ask him if now he wanted to leave, because if only one person in this room could claim the title of overzealous, Delilah would steal the title in a heart beat.

The self-defeating attitude really wasn't something that could be helped in Richard's case. He was talented enough at putting himself down when he was sober. Alcohol just made it worse.

Richard smiled weakly after she'd kissed him and made his insides fizz again. He listened intently as she spoke and tried not to lose his mind when she started playing with his shirt. It really was insane to him that this was happening. She was too pretty to be this kind -- because Richard first and foremost considered any affection he received from women to be close to charity. He was rather awful to himself and wished he could make the bad thoughts stop to help him save face, but alcohol was an evil minx and just made him downright cruel to his already shoddy self-image.

She wanted to keep kissing him, though. So, that was good, right?

"I like listening to you talk," Richard admitted before leaning in for a slow snog, pulling several increasingly feverish kisses from her lips.

Feeling a little bolder, now, Richard's hand found Delilah's knee, which he gently squeezed. He smiled as he searched her gaze for an reaction.

"Is that not normal?" he asked quietly before kissing her again. It unnerved him a little that someone could say they didn't like to hear Delilah talk. Honestly.

"You can talk all you want," he added, "and snog all you want. I'm going to enjoy myself either way."

Delilah laughed a little. "You say that now." She murmured leaning into his kisses. "I wouldn't say not normal...just...I know I talk a lot...I'm sure people just stop listening..." There were moments that she was fairly sure that Nora just nodded her head and just pretended to listen to half the things she rambled about. And Delilah was certain that Charlie stopped listening to her on a regular basis.

Charlie. Delilah had forgotten about Charlie, that her twin brother was some where around here. This was his party, his VIP room. She didn't even bother to check to see if he was in the room. Although if he were in the room, she was sure that he would have made his presence know by now. Still, she pulled back for just a moment to take a glance around the room. No Charlie, no worries.

She turned her attention back to Richard, bright grin on her face. "So we are on the same page then." Delilah said scooting closer to him, tucking her legs underneath of her. She pulled him in for another kiss and trailed her hands down his sides, resting them on his hips. But after a few moments the angle proved to be awkward so she pulled herself into Richard's lap. "I promise you can listen to me talk later. But right now I'm done talking."
