Axe's Anniversary of Birth!!!!
Charlie was pretty sure he'd missed out on a wonderful career as a party planner. As he stared out at the dance floor, which he stood over on a platform where the DJ was spinning a mix of wizard and muggle music (even with some popular French songs that were actually pretty catchy if Charlie said so himself). He wasn't surprised at how many people showed up, but it still nearly startling to see how bloody happy everyone was to be there! Sure, some looked ridiculous with the fake mustaches that were passed out (not required, obviously), but a lot had actually grown out their beards and it was----cool, they tried, they wanted to be there and they wanted to have a good time. Charlie wanted to have a good time.

The Kestrels were not top of the pack, and while he believed in his team completely, the stress of the numbers had been getting to them. A night like this was necessary, and maybe it could rejuvenate the team that had lost some valuable members this season and had done a bit of shifting around. They were still trying to get themselves into place, and it needed to happen faster than it was.

Plus, Axe had been pissy all week that no one had acknowledged the anniversary of his birth.

Charlie grabbed the mic from the DJ and grinned, enjoying colorful scene laid out in front of him. funkybuddha club had been a perfect choice for the night, "Don't everyone tire themselves out! There's still a lot more festivites to look forward to!"

"Oh no you don't. " Seth said stepping around her and blocking her path. Last time was over journals, and could be easily ignored. That and first offenses were much more easily forgiving. This time was different. “I didn’t force you to agree. You didn’t have to dance with me. You could have just as easily shut me down like you normally do. Like I fully expected you to do.”

"What is wrong with you?" He asked bluntly. Obviously Odette was having some kind of-- going through something. This was a new level of crazy even Seth didn’t recognize. And clearly no one was pointing this out to her. Good thing he didn’t really care about tact and was very use to being the bad guy. "Why are you pulling stunts that I would have pulled three years ago? And then when you realize it you get all pissy and take it out on me. I do not deserve you snapping at me. You don’t have to tell me what’s going on, but I think you need to realize that we’re almost to the level of a role reversal here. I don’t want to wake up in two months and find myself filing a restraining order against you."

Her nostrils flared, and severe anger filled her. "Don't touch me," Odette hissed, having no other real response to give. She didn't--- why was he saying these things to her? What did he care? He was getting what he wanted, wasn't he? So why did it matter? What could possibly-- everyone bloody knew he---

What? Odette's eyes went wide at his final words, so disturbed by them that she could focus on nothing else after they were spoken. The concept that there were people, in a public place, anyone else in the entire world was just not--- present. Gone. Burning, her stomach was burning, a rage quite like no other was filling her body from her toes to the tips of her fingers. Her hands balled into fists.

A slew of indescribable, and rather vicious, noises flew from Odette's mouth, and her body shook. Shook, she was shaking as her blood practically boiled. They---- were not--- the same! This was not the same! Not even--- what bloody fucking drug was he soaring high on? Speaking to her--- speaking to her--- Odette suddenly lunged at Seth, her hands formed into strange balled talons, ready to swipe, tear, hurt at anything they could get a hold of. Not thinking, there was no thinking going on, only rage, she held tightly to the front of his shirt, pulling it forward as if it was his skin and she was tearing at it.

"Don't--- you--- ever---" she rasped, so consumed she couldn't even understand what she was saying. "You don't deserve--- deserve anything! You just--- you--- you---" Her mouth gaped at the mere thought of expressing her racing, indiscernible thoughts into words. "You follow me--- you watch me--- you--- you-- you!" As she raged, her hands went from holding his shirt and letting go because she didn't want to touch him, yet wanted to rip his heart out. Her eyes burned. "I hate you, I hate you!"

Seth held his hands up at her first words. He didn't touch her. At the very least he knew better than that. Touching her while dancing was one thing, touching her while she was trying to leave, that was just stupid.

His eyes widen as she made noises that were clearly not words and tried to take a step back but before he could manage it her hands were wrapped up in his shirt and pulling him closer. What the bloody hell was going on? He look around the room. Someone had to be witnessing this. Someone had to have seen that he did nothing otherwise somehow, somehow this was going to be blamed on him. Odette was attacking him and he was going to take the blame, Seth just knew it.

He moved back so quickly when she released him that he stumbled slightly. He pursed his lips as he processed her words. He hadn't done any of those things in years. Not that it changed the fact that he actually did them, but he wasn't exactly proud of those actions now. To have them thrown his face, as if he were still doing them, pissed him off. He didn't understand how people expected him to change if they continued assume the worst of him.

He laughed bitterly. "Wow. I walking now because you have obviously lost your bloody mind. Enjoy your downward spiral. I don't know what I was thinking, being concerned." He was not evil. He didn't have an ulterior motive for everything he did. After everything, Seth had thought at the very least they could be acquaintances, colleagues that could have a conversation once in a while. That they had moved past all this bitterness. Apparently he was very wrong.

Seth dropped his hands and turned and took and a couple of steps away from her before turning back. "Oh and the next time you want to take a stab at your husband for whatever lunatic reason you've thought up, leave me out of it. I'm not just something you can use at your convenience and then throw into the fire when you are done. You hate me, fine. This right here will be the last I speak to you."

Odette breathed heavily, her rage throbbing through her veins. He made her rage, made her feel anger that she never even thought was--- possible. It just consumed her, and it was all she thought about, all she continued to think about, now. It just... engulfed her, lit her body on fire to the point where she wished with every fiber that she could spew it back out.

He wasn't allowed to do that.

Odette wrapped her arms around her, and her face screwed up tight within the time Seth talked. His words meant nothing, they didn't mean anything. He could say whatever he wanted, the nicest things in the world and the most vicious, but she would not just let go. Now, she wanted to make him feel bad, she wanted to make him feel as horrible as she felt. There were so many things, so many words jumbled in her mind that there was no choice process; it was the boldest that fell out of her mouth first.

"You'll never have me," she threw as he retreated, coldly and full of callous.

"Sorry to disappoint you but, I don't want you." Seth laughed bitterly, stopping to turn back to face her. "I never did. It was just a game. A stupid pathetic game that cost me a marriage and nearly my career. I've grown up and I'm over it."

He shook his head. He couldn't get into it with her yet again. "You should let it go too. You're the married one now. Did you not learn anything from all that bullshit? You already know what happens. Except I won't be the one getting a divorce this time around."
