Someone had once told her that she shouldn't drink firewhisky, because it made her more angry than anything else. Normally she stuck to those rules (and for good reason, because it did make her crosser than a steer that had just been branded), but tonight it had been someone's birthday, and there had been a free round of drinks -- and she'd just remembered how much she liked the taste of it, all right?
She had a sitter and she was trying very hard not to think about what it might be like to date someone again, so she had to keep her mind occupied elsewhere. Unfortunately for one Delilah Spinnet, Victoria's focus and concentration had been for some time on the other woman whose paws were all over some man that she surely barely knew. She narrowed her gaze and swung her cowboy boots out so that she swivelled around on her bar stool, threw herself to her feet, and .... immediately grabbed onto the edge of the bar for balance.
Oh, she was going to break her face...
