Odette closed her eyes tightly when Seth first spoke, and her lips pressed into a thin line. She didn't need reminding that something else was wrong, and it was so obvious that Seth felt he could comment freely on it. But he was right. Of course he was bloody right. She hated when he was right. Noah wasn't here, like he should be, because... because... she didn't know why. Because Adrian hadn't forced him to come here like he did her. And she hadn't.... her insides suddenly felt dark, and a familiar miserable feeling took over. She hadn't thought... to even tell him....
It hadn't been a good idea coming here. She shouldn't be talking to Seth--- to anyone. She should--- she should--- Odette tilted her head slightly toward her shoulder as she thought. Her mind came to a startling halt, however, at his final words. He---
Her eyes snapped back open and she watched Seth with an intense fierceness. How--- that was none of his business--- and he had no right talking to her like that, or even implying--- Odette felt her body grown cold and harsh with the passing seconds. Seth was over stepping his bounds. They were not--- she felt her tongue swell in her mouth and her body begin to shake, slightly.
"Don't talk to me," Odette spat, and sharply shoved his hands away from her. Feeling so frigid, Odette used what little space there was between them to push him further. "You don't know what you're talking about." A bitter feeling filled her as she attempted to walk away.
