Otto!
Nora straightened her shoulders, her hands softly tugging on the bow on her back. It wasn't too much, was it? It was just a spring dress! Nothing fancy, nothing overboard, it was simply--a dress. She couldn't exactly meet a random bloke and wear her dragon wrangling clothes, right? The shoes were simple flats, but they still hurt her feet and---why wasn't she feeling as confident as she had been while flirting through the journals with said stranger? She should really have talked to someone about this. Delilah would've turned into a hurricane of makeup and excitement and Nora couldn't handle that. What had she been thinking? Prompting a lunch date out of a stranger, ugh!

She should leave. She could leave, he'd never find out who she really was, and that would be that. Right. That would save her a lot of stress, that would make her life a whole lot easier and----backwards Wasps hat! Nora stared, gaped as she watched her blind date look through the front window. He was young, he was---cute. She flushed immediately and turned around, feigning great interest in the dessert display. It also gave her bow full visibility, and now she could at least relax enough at the fact that she'd been flirting with someone funny and handsome.

Otto tapped his quill against the stack of paperwork on his desk, a sign of his impatience as he watched the clock like a hawk. A heavy sigh was heaved as the second hand moved at a snail’s pace, and he let out a groan as he leaned back in his chair, looking down at the work he would have waiting for him once he had gotten back from his lunch break. With the way time was dragging on, he would have sworn that his boss put a hex on his office clock to make every second seem like an hour.

He didn’t even know why he was so anxious. He wanted to think it had everything to do with the fact that he was starving, but a lot of it had to do with the prospect of meeting this Nora character. He didn’t even know who she was, or even what she looked like, but based on their brief conversation through his journal, he could tell that he’d appreciate her personality at the very least. It had been a long time since he had met someone new, so he was looking forward to spending his lunch break with the girl who had made his day the other afternoon, when he had plucked the animagus registration form off the wall.

The clock finally struck twelve, and he was immediately removing his robes and grabbing for the Wasp’s hat that Ludo had given him when he had first joined the team. He shouted to his boss that he was heading out to lunch, and combed his slightly overgrown hair back with his fingers, putting on his hat with the other hand, wearing it backwards as he told Nora he would.

He apparated about a block away from the diner, giving him some time to take off his tie and shove it into his pocket, undo the top couple of buttons of his button down, and roll up his sleeves to his elbows, trying to make himself look just a little more casual. He arrived at their meeting place, looking around on the sidewalk incase she hadn’t entered just yet. When he didn’t see anyone donning a pink bow, he looked through the front window, managing to catch a very pretty girl staring out at him. A brow lifted slightly with curiosity, but when she turned around, he understood just why she was looking at him. He smiled to himself, pulling open the door to the deli, stepping inside. Slowly but surely he made his way to her, standing beside her, also looking at the dessert display.

“See anything good in there?”

He turned to her after the question was asked, offering her a friendly smile. He hoped this was Nora, because she really was quite pretty, and really, what were the chances that more than one person would be wearing a big pink bow at that deli?

Nora straightened and smiled, locking her hands behind her back as she took in her blind date for the first time. Otto. That was a...different name. Nora wasn't much better, so who was he to judge? It didn't matter, he was cute, he had a sense of humor, and he appreciated hers. Nora knew she often came off as rude and somewhat obnoxious, so maybe she could tone down her personality just for this lunch date. She wouldn't want to completely scare him off, right? Right.

She couldn't let herself mess this up. She'd been pining over a bloke who was married with a kid and one on the way! What kind of life was that for a young woman like herself? She tamed dragons. She chased chimaeras in the Grecian jungles! She should not be afraid of a bloke that worked in an office!

But she was, and she flushed deeply before putting out her hand, "Otto, I presume?"

The sudden appearance of pink in her cheeks when she turned to look over at him made his smile get just a little broader, finding the way she blushed to be very endearing. The ego boost didn’t hurt either, but unlike his younger brother, Otto Bagman had never been the type to think he was God’s gift to the world. He had accepted that he was attractive, but never boasted about it. Still, it always felt nice when a pretty girl blushed at him.

He extended his hand out to give hers a shake as he officially introduced himself.

“Guilty. Guess that makes you Nora. Or is it Betty today?”

Another smile flashed across his features as he joked with her about her alter ego, dropping his hand down in order to slip that one, along with the other, into the pockets of his slacks. He was never comfortable in his work get up. He was the kind of guy who lived in jeans and t-shirts, not suits and ties. Still, he was as ‘casual’ as he was going to get, given the fact that he was on his lunch break and didn’t exactly have time to go home and change. Besides, he couldn’t remember the last time he had cared so much about what he was wearing. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had been out with a woman when it had been arranged. He hadn’t been on a date since Marissa…and that was back in Hogwarts.

She wasn’t the only one who was a little intimidated by the situation.

"It's most certainly Nora," she said with a laugh, and Nora was now quite pleased with her out of the ordinary act of spontaneity. It got her a lunch date with a handsome, tall bloke who had a good sense of humor. Of course, They'd only said two sentences to each other, but Nora was already sure she wasn't going to regret her random act of flirting. That gave Nora a sense of confidence and she led the way to the counter to place her order and let Otto give his.

Her eyes darted to the clock, knowing that he had to be back by one o'clock. It must feel so restricting to be working on the clock like that. Nora could never take a desk job in the Ministry, or anywhere for that matter, so she really had to hold back her astonishment at how people managed. Otto didn't seem like the type of bloke who enjoyed only having an hour for lunch, but he did deal with it.

"Forty-nine minutes until you're back on the clock," Nora said, to create a sense of urgency that she desperately desired at seemingly all times, "So---tell me five things about yourself that a girl would probably not find out on the first date." She smirked, leaning against the counter with her arms crossed.

He let out a chuckle of his own when she laughed in reaction to his stupid joke about her name. “Nora’s a much nicer name.” He spoke with sincerity, finding that her name seemed to fit her – it was pretty, and…well, it was different. She was definitely different from any girl he had dated before, based on the little he knew about her, though he hadn’t really dated anyone since Marissa, and they seemed to be polar opposites. Again, he was just making assumptions at this point, but maybe that was what he needed. Things hadn’t worked out between him and the tall redhead for a reason, though honestly Otto had never been able to place his finger on what that was. That had a lot to do with why he hadn’t dated since their breakup.

Pushing that to the back of his mind, he ordered himself something to eat, standing to the side of the counter with Nora as they waited for their sandwiches to be prepped. It didn’t take long, but it felt like it was taking forever only because of how hungry he was. Thankfully he had her to keep him distracted, and when their trays were finally placed down on the counter, he took not only his but hers, placing them down on the nearest table before pulling out one chair for her, taking the other on the opposite end for himself.

He popped one of the chips he had gotten with his meal into his mouth, elbows resting on the table as she reminded him of his time limitations. “Ugh, don’t remind me…” he said with a shake of his head, pushing around some more chips on his plate before looking up when she spoke again. He let out a short laugh at the request. “So, this is a date?” He asked with a cheeky grin, popping another chip into his mouth. He was definitely teasing her, secretly hoping to make her blush again. “Let’s see…” He popped another chip into his mouth, his furrowed brow showing that he was thinking of five things that were interesting enough to share.

“Well, you already know about my prestigious title in the procrastination department, so we can just skip over that one. I was a Hufflepuff when I was in Hogwarts, and played Quidditch for my house – I was a beater, like my brother.” He definitely wasn’t using the fact that he was Ludo’s brother as one of the things most girls didn’t know about him, because that would just look like he was trying to use that as some sort of draw, having a celebrity brother. “I only have the one aforementioned brother, who is more often than not a pain in my ass. I was born to a pureblood family, but I’m fascinated by Muggle culture. Um…I know enough Gobbledegook to get by in a conversation, though I only learned it so a friend and I could exchange notes in potions without anyone else knowing what we were talking about. I can juggle, but not well. And I can juggle, and I’m actually pretty damn good at it.” He shrugged his shoulders, looking down at his chips as he grabbed for another one. “I never said I was particularly interesting.” He said with a somewhat self conscious little smirk – though he gestured at her with the chip. “Your turn.”
