Contrary to most people's beliefs, Thomas did actually feel remorse for things. It often took him a while to come to that conclusion, but in the case of his relationship with Billie Trimble he'd managed to realize that he'd been the worst kind of socially awkward with his teammate. When things began to feel uncomfortable with their arrangement, Thomas let himself get buried in training and quidditch to avoid it all.

There was such a difference when the lighting spells and the crowd were filling up the night sky. Thomas stuck his hands in his pocket and let out a breath, wondering what Billie had to say that couldn't be done over the journals.
