Adrian!
While going to Portugal for the offseason had gotten rid of the problem of the media being around every corner, it had not done much for herself and Adrian's own senses. Maggie was still unsure of where they stood with each other, and it was obvious that Adrian was even worse off, especially with his mother within flooing distance. Since the wedding, she had been refusing to push him, giving him a chance to figure out what he wanted, what he wanted from them, and even with this new baby Maggie hadn't pressured him. Adrian knew that she was a woman who could take care of herself, he had to know that she would accept not being together, but yet he had still invited her to Portugal, they were still in their own way making an effort.

She'd decided, though, that she wasn't going to sit back and 'see what happens,' any longer. Maggie knew she wasn't going to give Adrian an ultimatum of any kind, she didn't need a timeline, she just wanted...she wanted to not be worried about her feelings for him. She wanted to be secure in how she felt.

She also wanted to have sex, and all of these confusing thoughts were inhibiting her greatly. Her son was also causing a bit of a problem with that, as Josef had become obsessed with the beach and dragged Adrian out to the sand the moment he woke. Maggie'd had enough sun for the day and had retired early to the bedroom, and was currently sitting on the bed, still in her dry bathing suit and cover up, drawing in her planner. Her pictures had become letters and the letters became words and names, and soon she had hers and Adrian's and Josef's covering the page.

Maybe some girl names she found pretty too. The door opened but she didn't look up at first, concentrating on perfecting her cursive M's, "He must have passed out if you're back so soon."

Though her eyes stayed down at the planner, from her peripheral vision she followed Adrian's every step. She felt him watching her, and she needed him to be watching her if she was going to accomplish what she wanted. What she needed. There was some small, tiny voice in her head that was scolding her for her thoughts, but there was another roaring desire that completely overpowered any rational, sympathetic thoughts that might be trying to burst through. Maggie knew she had to play a little dirty to get her way, and maybe using some of her old tricks were necessary. It was funny, she thought she'd have these thoughts again, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Maggie casually tossed the book to the part of the bed nearest Adrian, the pages remaining open on the doodling and elaborate script. She stretched, feigning some exhaustion herself, and with swift fingers undid the tie in her hair and the knot in her cover up. The nearly sheer fabric slipped off and revealed her one piece bathing-suit. Though her stomach wasn't huge, and could be blamed on a lack of working out these past few weeks, she still knew how to style herself to look her best. Her hair had grown out and long over the season, and the slight curls dropped over her shoulders and laid perfectly on the low-cut neckline of the bathing suit.

Oh, yes, casual was definitely the word for this very moment.

She took the cover up and wrapped it around her waist as she stood. Maggie finally twisted to look Adrian in the eye and she smiled gently before moving to the glass door that led to the balcony. She pushed up on her tiptoes to close the curtains of it as the sun was beginning to blind her, and she turned back to Adrian, lips pressed together in thought as her hands held onto the curtain behind her back.

"He's starting to like you better than me," Maggie said, knowing that her son had enjoyed hanging out with Adrian over her far before this trip. She tilted her head in a coy fashion, "I'm going to have to fight you for his attention, aren't I?"
