Billie Trimble ([info]obtineo) wrote in [info]valesco,
OPEN!
Billie had been going back and forth with herself about whether or not she should go to the party being held tonight – a party to celebrate the end of the Quidditch season, which just so happened to be her first year in the European division. She was very excited for the chance to show what she was capable when she had been traded to the Magpies, and she hoped she had done so, but only time would tell. There was definitely a sense of anxiety that came along with wondering whether or not you were going to be traded to a different team, or dropped completely. After fighting with herself for a little while longer, she finally picked up the purple dress that had been placed on her bed, putting it on along with a pair of silver heels before making sure she looked presentable enough to leave the house.

When she arrived at the party, Billie stood on the steps and took a look at all the people – Quidditch players who had brought their friends and family to join them there. Billie had come alone, as she did to most every event, and was reminded again of why she had been thinking of not coming at all when she realized she had no idea who she was going to speak with while she was there. She was so socially awkward when placed in large groups like this, and made sure to find the nearest flute of champagne to pluck off one of the trays the waiters were carrying around. She took a long sip, and then suddenly wondered why she hadn’t invited someone to keep her company, so she didn’t feel like some awkward Hogwarts student who hadn’t been invited to the dance.

She pushed some of her hair away from her face, and then proceeded to take a second much needed sip when she noticed someone had approached her, and was standing right beside her. Trying to finish her sip more quickly, she nearly choked, and covered her mouth with the back of her other hand before clearing her throat, her cheeks a little more pink due to embarrassment.

“I didn’t even see you standing there.”
