Savannah was positive that she was more upset about the trade than Geoffrey was – at first, anyway. Puddlemere United was a team that had several championships, and being asked to play for them was a very high honor, which was why she saw the trade as management saying that he just wasn’t good enough for them anymore. She may not have been an expert on Quidditch, but she knew that Geoff was a damn good player, and that he deserved to be on a team where his skills would be appreciated. All she could do was hope that this trade would work out, and that management knew what they were doing moving him to the Catapults. And if she could be selfish for just a moment, this trade also meant that she would be seeing much more of Carys, which only dawned on her when she thought about who his new teammates would be.
At least he hadn’t been drafted to the Falcons. While she and Seth were now on speaking terms, that didn’t mean she needed him to be in her life any more than he already was. Not that she thought he would be a hazard to the relationship she had with Geoff, which was turning out to be too good to be true, but it would just cause her unneeded aggravation, being around her boyfriend and her asshole of an ex-husband at the same time for the entirety of the season, not to mention pre-season.
Smoothing down the front of her dress, Savannah scanned the crowd, trying to find Geoff. She had something she needed to finish at work, which meant she had no choice but to arrive late. Standing up on her toes to try and give herself a little more height, in addition to the height already provided by her heels, her fingers fidgeting with the clutch in her hands. She often times felt she was either too under dressed, or too over dressed for these kinds of occasions, and this time was no exception. When her eyes finally did fall on her boyfriend, she automatically smiled, and her heels dropped back down to the floor, making her way through the sea of people to get to him. When she reached him, her hand reached out to twist her fingers around his, getting his attention, giving him a warm smile.
“Hello, handsome.”
