"Or a captain who will knock down your door at five in the morning if you're not up and showering already." Thomas shook his head, remembering a rather embarrassing run in he had with an unlocked flat door and Odette's morning madness. He'd kept his shower curtain shut since then, who knew a person who lived by himself would have to do that? He smiled at Samantha though, enjoying how understanding she was of his career and schedule. He supposed having her sister play pro for so long would help with that, and it was nice to know that she'd have some sort of idea of how hectic his life really could be.
"But I make time for the important things," Thomas said, even if it was a bit of a lie. It took a lot to get him to make plans that weren't quidditch related, or agent related, or family related, but--he'd talked himself up into inviting Sam out and she needed (or at least he wanted her) to know that. "Like--cupcake dates that make me go against the norm."
He felt his face get hot even in the cold, and Thomas stared for a few more seconds before his eyes ducked back down to the half eaten cupcake in his hands.
