Caden Flint ([info]silex) wrote in [info]valesco,
Caden looked down at her, like she was trying to interpret something she had just said, as though she had spoken it in some language he couldn’t understand. Still, she was truly upset about it, and he felt awful – he wanted to do something for her, but didn’t know what. The least he could do was get her out of there when she so clearly wanted to leave, and he was willing to do anything necessary to keep her happy.

He reached out for her waist, pulling her against him so he could kiss her forehead, and then leaned in a little bit further to speak low against her ear.

“Come with me, love.”

He turned, his arm snaking around her back so he could usher her through the crowd, paying off a doorman in order to let them pass through to the street so that they could get away without being stopped by the press. Once they got out to the streets, he walked her down the block, and around the corner of the building. There was a bench, and he would remove his jacket, laying it down before guiding her to take a seat – didn’t want her dress getting dirty. He squatted down in front of her, reaching for her hands.

“I’ve never seen somethin’ get to you like this."
