Drake hated these events. He absolutely hated getting dressed up and parading around in fancy things. There wasn't even a point to this that Drake saw, except that Carys wanted to go and since they were doing things seriously, well, it wasn't like he could say no and stay home to listen to the wireless. Plus, his publicist had told him that it was best given all the drama that was starting already. Fortunately, there hadn't been much drama from the Magpies at least.

Sipping on his drink he could only imagine what would happen if another war broke out between Seth and Odette, but right now he just wanted to put in his time and get going before anything could possibly happen in front of all these fine media personalities. He just needed his girlfriend, who had seemed to disappear on him but he'd already been caught by the cameras. Spotting her from across the room, Drake grabbed a flute of pumpkin juice and headed over to see her, touching her lightly on the elbow and really not expecting her to jump like he'd leapt out and shouted BOO at her. "Uh, hello mysterious scardey cat, here have something to drink, I can charm it to look like champagne if you want."
