Billie lifted an arm to rest her elbow against the back of the couch, cradling her head in her hand as she sat there, listening to her team mate blow off steam – something she personally thought he needed to do more often, since Thomas always seemed wound like a damn top. Then again, she didn’t really know him all that well.
Her eyes dropped to her lap when he blurted out something she had already gathered from the rags – he had been engaged to this woman. Most of the time, she kept her nose out of the tabloids, because 90% of it was never true, and the 10% that was, she didn’t feel people had any business knowing about. It was a complete invasion of privacy, and maybe that’s what they signed up for when they became professional Quidditch players, but she didn’t like it one bit.
She gnawed at the corner of her bottom lip before turning those sea green eyes back up towards him. She would proceed with caution as she spoke again, not wanting to pry, or seem insensitive.
“…so everything in The Tattler – it was all true?”
